While diversity of weapon choice is encouraged, and we do not penalise for the various differences in medieval weapons, I think a shield is going too far. I can't imagine that a man wielding a shield could truely hold up to a swordsman of equal talent, or any other weapon.

Perhaps give him a sword or mace along with the shield, and just make him fight very, very defensively?

Just the name, the two characters are actually nothing alike if you remember the LoWII Character's bio. Plus, my name is Samuel, so I reserve the right to use it whenever I want

Hey hroppa, your sheet looks pretty good, but I might add a couple suggestions:
1) Agriculture as a skill is virtually useless. Even stewardship does next to nothing.
2) Unless your character has nothing to do with war, having a high weapon skill and/or battle skill is very helpful for survival. Try to make it as high as you can.

Thanks for the advice. Is it not possible to play a less-than-great warrior, then? Isn't there a way Brenton could influence his lands/income with stewardship or agriculture?

Also, Hroppa, a bit about your family's history;
Sunhouse was struck and nearly shattered by a meteor that hit it, although I don't remember the game-year; it might have been 515 or slightly earlier, and although I'm sure it has recovered since then I doubt it shouldn't be considered as super prosperous. Ser Edric Cuy died in the Dornish War in 522, and he was the heir, and his son should have inherited. One of the Far Reach noted generals is a Cuy, Ser Derrick, who is the current heir to Sunhouse, so if you want to stay as Lord Cuy you'll have to make your character older to accommodate that, I think.

It's possible, definitely, but it's not a common trend in this game. We don't yet have a formal economy, so there's no real need for having such skills. It'd be more important to have a high persuasion, or espionage skill if you're avoiding combat.

Heh, thanks again. I looked about for anything on House Cuy, but didn't turn anything up. Guess I shoulda looked harder. Anywhere you'd recommend inspecting?

Well, the plan was to have Brenton be childless anyway, so that makes sense. I don't know how set in stone this is, but could Sunflower Hall have actually been destroyed, so that Brenton would have had to take part in the reconstruction?
