They're presently off limits. If you're interested in playing characters of Baratheon heritage, there are a few available. My character's mother was the current King's eldest aunt (Princess Margaret Baratheon), and although Breck has no living siblings, he does have several children that could be chosen as characters. The three sons (Aegys, Eamon and Sylvan) are all in their late teens or early twenties. Besides those, you could play as Lord Tyrell's younger brother, Barristan Tyrell. His mother was a Baratheon.
Private message me if you've got more questions.

Welcome aboard, atheism! Any house could use more players, but right now there's only one player in the Stormlands (me), one in Dorne (Lord Fowler), one in the Iron Islands (Jhorgo Greyjoy), and one in the Westerlands (whoever Steffen Lannister is playing now). So any one of us would be greatly interested in having you join our ranks... but I'm sure you'd be welcomed with any house you have interest in playing! Two in the west actually. Rhaegar Velaryon's little 'un is being brought up with his grandad (Steffen Lannister) at Ashemark. Expect diabolical deeds.

How does this look?

7) Character Personal History:
Born the third son of Varen Trant, Rupert was allowed his peculiarities considering that he was not likely to inherit the lands of his father. These divergences in personality were nominally that the young Trant was terrified of conflict. A coward, a craven, what have you, he preferred the quiet solace of the garden or kitchens, where conflict was no likely to happen. Not violent conflict in any case. Rupert spent his childhood fantasizing about his adult destiny, as most children do. But whereas most young boys dream of knighthood and land, Rupert deigned for the comfort of the Citadel at Oldtown, a place where he could be safe from the treachery and evils of the war-like world around him. Unfortunately, when his dream finally came true, it was laced with the bitterness of the tragic discovery that the young Rupert was completely incapable of reading written word. The words on the page swam and jumbled themselves in his mind, and this created many difficulties as there were not many of his brothers free to read the information for him. So, with trouble and sadness in his heart, Rupert returned to Gallowsgrey. His father took this opportunity to assign him as a squire to Ser Uther Hasty, a personally, and fairly laborious favor. Rupert was ten and three, and though his reflexes were quick, he often refused to attack with his sword, afraid that he might leave himself open to being wounded. In lieu of this, he developed, quite instinctively, his own form of protection. He relied so heavily on his shield, that he soon began to use it in both his defensive, and his offensive techniques. While not lethal, the blows from a solid shield can disorient, and sometimes greatly wound an individual. This became more and more obvious as Rupert grew, and his body conformed to the familial traits that the Trants had possessed for centuries. However, Ser Uther often found himself disappointed that the youth would only join a fight if it was absolutely unavoidable, so great were his fears. When Ser Uther was killed in tourney, Rupert returned to Gallowsgrey again, ten and seven, a knightless squire, a coward without merit, and a third son. And so he spent the majority of the next two years learning from Maester Godfrey in the art of healing wounds. It was Godfrey's belief that if the boy could learn to mend a bone, or stitch a gash, that his fears would be at least somewhat quelled. Rupert found comfort in the work, and he thoroughly enjoyed carrying around a pack full of objects that could fix most things. It made him feel important, and to a degree, a little less afraid. Then there was only fire. An inferno that spun through the halls of Gallowsgrey like a roiling, fluorescent tongue. It had moved so swiftly, that Rupert only just had time to reach the outside before the flames devoured his room. When the smoke cleared, Rupert found that most of his family had been taken. His father, two eldest brothers, one of his younger brothers and his youngest sister were all killed in the fire. The pain of their loss was coupled with the fear that he knew would not be easily swept under the rug. He was the new lord of Gallowsgrey.
8) Character Physical Description: Tall and muscular, lanky but strong. His dark hair falls passed his ears, framing a face that might appear fierce if the large, blue eyes didn't look so innocent. He has just recently begun to grow a beard, at the advice that it might make him appear older.
9) Character Reputation:
He was the boy hiding behind his mother's skirt during assemblies and meetings, avoiding eye contact and shared words with the adults that visited his father. Throughout his childhood, he was very much the most timid child of Varen Trant, a trait his father disliked heartily. It was for this reason he was called the "Trembling Trant". He is known for being very avoidant of combat situations and of death, hiding his head during any hangings that were performed. Though he is somewhat heralded as a true force to be reckoned with at the joust, it is one of his only redeeming reputable traits.
Character's Second: Leonard Buckler (Son of the Master of Arms at Gallowsgrey)
Noteworthy- Sword Noteworthy- Animal Magnetism (fixed) Apprentice- Lance Apprentice- Horsemanship Novice- Stewardship Novice- Information Gathering Beginner- Reading Beginner- Hunting/Tracking

The character sheet looks great, but there may be a few things to fix with your skill selection. For example, horseriding is a pretty useless skill (unless you're constantly riding away from people). Much more useful are swordsmanship, and battle command. Combat skills (like swordsmanship, archery, battle (or naval) command) as well as stealth related ones are generally the most useful to have, and most commonly rolled. Also, fighting should be specified- do you mean swordfighting, axe-throwing, spear-hurling, etc etc? But again, aside from that, it looks great. Welcome to the game

Also, 'shield use' isn't a skill that factors in. It is granted that if you are skilled in using a sword, that you will be able to use shield if you choose.

By the shield/use fighting thing, I meant that he fights with his shield. And I imagine he would be trying to escape some situations considering his personality traits, so the horsemanship works.

You can have a shield if you want one. It will not effect combat since the admin will simply take your combat skill and use it to oppose your enemies. Whether you have a battle axe, sword and shield, or whatever does not really factor in except as a description

Yup. All weapons are judged in the same way, for simplicity's sake.

Then do I have to make any changes? I promise I'm not trying to be difficult.

You don't if you're dead set on using a shield as your weapon.

It somewhat makes sense in the context of his backstory.
