I think we should have more characters play members of actual major houses. For instance: There is only one active Tyrell, and no members of House Hightower as of yet. Thats because there are very few Hightowers to play. I mean few as like none really. Unless you go for a very distant relation.

Tall is right. Become of game events, House Hightower's male line is very thin. (One maester and one bastard son.) They do have a very large number of females married into other houses.

Not playing a chick. Actually, I might play a Redwyne, though I don't know what's happened with them.

That may be a good idea. Lord Peyton Redwyne married Rodrick's sister Dalla, and has a number of his own children.

I don't think that seconds necessarily have to be connected to your first, but I think if they're both noble characters, they should come from the same region.

Felryn has it down right. I think the point is that they must share the same loyalty, if not the same family.

Yea I said some connection which Walder's seconds didn't.
I'm not attacking you or anything Walder. It's true this has never had a proper answer.

I think the eldest operative Redwyne would be Foster, although the only post I saw about him he was in an Iron Born jail. I've been curious what his situation is actually. Peyton Redwyne is of course also in the clink.

Yeah. I only play Benedicta as my Third because Baldwin sent her south. And even then...half of the questions I got when I threw Benedicta into the Western succession were "why are you running a Lannister, Emelia?"

Well, I think Benedicta's situation is probably a little unique, as you say. She is perceived to be a Dornish operative, even though by birth she is a Lannister.

Yea, Emelia has GM manipulation, so if anybody can claim a character from another region, he can, especially one Emelia has brought up herself.

Be a Martell or a Tyrell. Those houses are both major and are both looking a little empty right now.

Be a Tyrell....
It would be fun...

I have deleted my post from the character's creation thread as requested by The Smith... I got to looking at it though, and there's a lot of dead or discarded characters on there also. Should we create a boneyard thread to copy our old/dead/maimed/whatever characters into so we can keep the actual character sheets thread clean?

That is a good idea and I will think about it.
