Janos Sand and his three companions arrive at the gates of Sunspear. Janos approaches a guard and smiles. "Greetings, friend. I would like to know if Prince Martell is currently present."

[wookie]

A pair of guards stand across the entrance. They glance at each other and the elder one grunts a gruff reply "Nah, he's up in the north at the moment. Who're you?"

[Flex]

"My name is Janos. How long might it be until Prince Martell returns?"

[wookie]

The guard laughed "Do I look like his fucking maester? How should I know when he's coming back? He's not here now and he left about a month ago, that's all I know and more'n I've been told" he spat on the floor as he continued to watch Janos and his friends

[Flex]

Janos sighed. "Is there anyone I can talk to who isn't completely ignorant of his masters whereabouts, or when he might return?"

[wookie]

The guard grinned, surprised at the man's mettle in ignoring the blatant provocation.
"Sure, just go in and ask for Colyn Sands, he's running the place until Lord Martell and his entourage get back. He'll be in the main hall, this time of day" he indicated a large doorway at the other end of the main courtyard"

Janos gave the guard a quick grin and entered the doorway with his three men. As they entered the main hall Janos looked around. "Who here is Colyn Sands?"

[wookie]

An elderly thin man wearing a pale blue robe shuffled across to the men "I have that honour, sers. How may I be of assistance?" he smiles briefly

[Flex]

"I wanted to ask," Janos says in even tones "when Prince Martell might return."

[wookie]

"Lord Martell is due back from Northern Dorne shortly, Ser...?" Colyn replied

[Flex]

"Jonas Sand; no knight, just a simple soldier." He replies with a smile. "I shall find an inn until he returns."

[wookie]

Colyn inclines his head "As you wish Jonas. I hear that the Gilded Serpent in the Merchants Quarter is a reputable establishment. Unless of course you wish to find an disreputable one?"

[Flex]

"No, I think the Gilded Serpent will do well enough. I don't see any reason in getting in any accidental fights." He waved his men to the door and smiled at Colyn. "A good day to you, Colyn Sands."
