Desmond turned and walked from the room silently.

//////////// After Harrenhall has been retaken, the sick and wounded are tended too. Howland spends most of his time with Ser Scot Royce planning. Though now he's in his tent waiting for the arrivale of Lord Vance.

Lord Tristifer Vance arrives at the tent and tips his head as he enters.
"Lord Royce, Ser Scot." He stated simply.

"Good day Lord Vance," Howland said. He glanced at his uncle who seemed to be sleeping. "We should find another place to talk," he suggested not wanting to disturbe his uncle's rest. Outside the tent he looked at Lord Vance, "How many Riverlanders will want revenge on Lord Tully's death rather than fight the West?"

Tristifer followed Howland as he exited the tent, and turned to him.
"Lord Pieter was by no means a Riverlands hero, but between him and Lord Terrence there are sure to be more than a few Lords angry. Why, are you considering a pact with Lord Lannister?" He asked coolly.

"I will not fight Lannister untill the King is dealt with," Howland said. "If I act against the West I have no doubt that Lord Lannister will fight for the King. Surely the King will pardon him should the man change sides, and I'd rather keep the West out of any future battles should it be on our side or the King's".

Tristifer nodded. "I understand what you are saying. However, there are few Riverlanders who are still willing to fight. What men I have now, around 2,600, are all that I have been able to call. If you are looking for a strong backing by the Riverlands, I think you are looking at a lost cause. I may try what I can to raise more men, but I doubt I will be able to have more than 5,000 troops. Perhaps I should stay here, and make sure the West doesn't try anything? You can go on with your men to King's Landing. I do not think my small amount of men will make much of a difference to you."

"The West has a larger army than you. I do not think you will be able to do much against them at this point. The North is also in the Riverlands, mayhaps they will fight eachother?" Howland paused. "Every man is valuable Lord Vance. The Riverlands will receive ample help in removing the western presence, after all this is over".
"What does Lord Vypren intend to do with Ser Gower?"

"So be it, I will take my men and venture with you." He said, nodding.
"We have not yet decided what to do with him. Mayhaps hang him, a more honorable fate than my Liege met." Tristifer stated, putting slight emphasis on we, and spitting out the last part.

Howland nodded, "Very well. The realm will not mourn his fate I am sure. May I suggest that you see to it before we start marching again?"
