Daeron Blackwood is allowed through the gates of Harrenhal. He is immediately shown to the rooms commandeered by his cousin, and the two begin to talk.

Pieter summons Terrence to what is now his solar.

"Thank you for coming, Terrence. Ser Daeron, good to see you. Did the King release you?" Pieter asked, all the while speaking fairly quietly.

Daeron snorts. "Temporarily," he says, but does not deign to explain farther.
Terrence merely nods and waits for Tully to continue.

"I take it that means you were given a job to do, for the King?" Pieter asked him.

"He offered Terrence clemency," Daeron says. Terrence's expression does not change. Daeron continues. "It's a pity my cousin is such a damn fool."

Pieter nods, sighing. "Aye, I suspected so. Why would you refuse, Lord Blackwood? It seems so many Lords are willing to forsake everything to save their own skin. Why not you too?" Pieter asked him.

Terrence looks at Pieter, an emotion almost like disgust on his face. "It is complicated," he says shortly, then abruptly changes the subject.
He withdraws a letter from a pocket and lays it on the table. It is signed by Cedric Lannister, and contains Tully's own letter to him. "What possessed you," Terrence asks, each word enunciated slowly and with restraint, "to do this."

Pieter laughs cruelly and shoves the parchment off the tables. He stands up and paces the room.
"In a single fit of rage I have doomed our cause. There are no lies in that letter, Lannister is truly a wretched worm."

"I did not say you spoke falsely. But a lord must possess restraint," Terrence says coldly. Daeron looks uncomfortable.

Pieter turned to Terrence, "Do you think I have not regretted that for every second since I sent it? Rage is truly a double-crossing mood. It fills you with passion, promises you a way out, and then turns on you and dooms you to be forever buried by your mistakes." Pieter stated, seething in anger. He paces the room incessantly, and after a while seems to calm down.
"For the first time in a long, long time.... I have lost all hope." Pieter said morosely to Terrence.

Terrence closes his eyes for a long time. Then he opens them again, serenely calm.
"You may surrender if you wish, Lord Tully. No doubt you will recieve a pardon. I shall remain here with the army."

Silence prevailed in the room as Pieter took in what Terrence had said.
"I admire your sense of duty, Terrence. It is good to know there are still those who are loyal to our cause." Pieter stated. He sat down, and motioned for Terrence and Daeron to do so also.
"To put it plainly, we need to shore up our support. I believe our cause to be Just and True to the Seven above. However, it has been blemished by Lord Dondarrion's...Questionable character. It has caused many people to turn to Rodrick's side." As Pieter looked at Terrence, there was passion in his eyes that had been previously missing.

Daeron sits down, and looks sheepishly at his cousin when Terrence remains standing.
"Easier said than done, Lord Tully. We are a defeated army trapped in a cursed castle. I do not think more support will be forthcoming. Though perhaps if you write an angry letter to Lord Dondarrion things will turn out for the best."
