Cedric thanks him graciously.

"Ah, King Cedric. It is an honor to meet you my lord.", and with that, he is careful to bend the knee before his King. "The lands, and wealth of Kayce are at your command." After straightening back up, he nods to Lord Lefford. "If you would permit, my lord, might we discuss further your plans for the Riverlands?" And with that, his thumbs hooked through his belt, and he nodded towards the King Cedric.

"Let us stick with Lord Cedric for now gentlemen. I am not yet ready for another title." Cedric replied. "I have plans for the riverlands, but I will not speak of them yet. If you wish to be involved I would make sure I was with Lord Prester."

Martyn sits with his hands folded in his lap as the watches the exchange. "I had hoped to address the issue of the Hightower rebellion to the south..."

"Please do." Cedric raised an eyebrow.

He grunts, reverting to what he usually does, listening, turning towards Lord Lefford, and nodding his approval.

"Not to cast any disrepect upon this venture, but you are not the only king in the Seven Kingdoms. We are already positioned betwixt reavers, Northmen, and Highgarden. Once we've dealt with Harrenhal, our territories will be within a stone's throw of both Rodrik and the Vale. They're all hungry and they'll guard their lands like rats guard their young... but Justin Hightower is not after power, he desires vengeance. If we help him get what he wants, we'll have mutual reenforcements and at least one less foe to deal with. He'll keep Rodrik distracted while we strengthen our presense in the Riverlands..."

"You have a proposal." Cedric said simply.

"We are in an exposed position, Lord Cedric. Lord Lefford's proposal is, at the least, very sound and it would be a sound strategy for the future", and with that he quickly became quiet once again, regarding both men.

He nods. "He wants to kill a king, we'll help him kill a king. He won't trust us, but he'll trust that we want Rodrik dead as much as him. We'll gaurantee him passage through the Riverlands and safehaven, and we'll feed his troops when they get there. We can rely on his bloodthirst to drive him. I say let it drive him to King's Landing with an army at his side..."

He doesn't even say a word, knowing that Lefford has stated everything that he could. Instead, he nods towards the Lord Cedric, but mutters "He speaks the truth."

Cedric smiled, "Take your proposal to Lord Hightower, and tell him you are my representatives. See what he has to say. Go alone, no word of this can leak out, there are spies... every where."

With the King's judgement passed down to Lords Lefford and Kenning, the Worm steps forward, having been brushed aside for these men with greater titles.
He addresses his King with a wry smile. "Hello cousin." He offers a stiff bow - stiff through aging joints rather than a lack of courtesy, or so it would appear.
"I've come to pay my respects to His Grace, with best wishes and the full support of Ashemark. I come to aid my royal cousin in whatever capacity I can, aged though I am."
He glanced quickly at Lyonel, looking for his reaction to his familiarity with King Cedric.

He stands to bow to the other member of the royal family. "Master Steffen, it is good to see you, but I must leave you to return to tending the Golden Tooth. Good day, my lords."

Lyonel watched with interest as Lord Lefford took his leave. The look of awe that had come across his face at being the presence of such great lords had yet to dissipate.
He of course knew his grandfather and mother were Lannisters, but he had not expected his grandfather to be so familiar with Cedric, a man Lyonel had hero-worshipped since being fostered at Casterly Rock. He glanced approvingly at his grandfather with a increased level of respect.
