Lord Commander Shadd Trant does not pull his strokes, and when he is finished Galahad's back is raw and bloody.
"Run along then now," he grins.

Weeks later, after Galahad's back is scabbed and healed, he walks throughout the camp, on his way to his own tent, when he turns a corner and runs into Tides.
"My apologies."
