The Citadel is an impressive structure in the city of Oldtown, and is considered the home of all maesters. Here they undergo all of their training from the time they arrive as novices until they have achieved the status of maester. At the entrance of the Citadel are green marble sphinxes.

Shown quickly to the proper chamber, a one armed Maester stares into her eyes, his own covered with a thick whitish film, "May I help you?" He chirped.

"You certainly may." Helya tells him, a cold smirk on her face. "I'm here to request the services of a maester for the keep of my brother, Jhorgo Greyjoy, of New Pyke."

The Maester swallowed deeply, "Oh the Iron Islands... I will note that here." He picked up a large feathered pen and began to jot in a small shorthand. "What do you require him for?"

"Alright... it will take several months... maybe a year." The old man replied, "There is paperwork, and the like."

Helya rolls her eyes. "I'm sure there's some way to speed up the process." She reaches into a pouch hanging from her belt and removes a golden sun-shaped medallion on a fine chain, set with a ruby, sliding it across the desk between them.

For a blind one armed man the medallion disappears rather quickly. With a small expedient motion he hands her the scroll he was writing on. "Bring this down stairs, find a servant and ask for Rutherford's room. Show that to him."

"Many thanks, maester." Helya says quietly, before turning and leaving the room. She finds a staircase down and asks the first servant she finds to direct her to Rutherford.

She is quickly shown the way to Rutherford's room. A small, wry man with curly red hair answers the door. He wears a Maester's necklace.

"This is for you," Helya tells the redhead, handing him the parchment, "From the man upstairs."

Rutherford takes the note and pales immediately, "New Pyke? I have never heard of it."
