One of the few weirwoods below the neck, they say the Godswood of The Red Keep is one of the few places where there are no hidden ears.

Justin walked, with Loren at his side, "Made any friends for us yet Loren?" Justin asked ruefully.

"Heh!" Loren said with an are you serious look. "Your lordship should be thankful I didn't make any enemies, if the Dornish could kill a man with evil looks we'd be mourning the passing of our whole entourage right now."

"Lord Tully seemed chatty, although the Riverlands are notoriously disorganized. His friendship might buy you a third of their actual strength. And I haven't seen any Valemen, which is disappointing. Perhaps later in the evening. Lord Dondarrion has thoughts on Lord Cedric it seems."

"Indeed, The Lord Hand seemed awful serious for a joke, although thankfully that Lannister scum did not attend or I might have had made some real friends. Oh and I wasn't aware the Riverlands had any strength, I had always thought it was just land invading armies passed through on their way to the next battle?"

Justin chuckled softly, "They've a strength of some forty-thousand, Loren. Master Flea tells us that they fought hard enough against the Kingsguard during the Crow's Coup. I'm sure their assistance couldn't hurt."

Loren nodded, "Perhaps and I recall they had some success at the battle of fire and blood, even if they killed more of their own side for the better part of the battle."
Loren scratched his head, "Why is mi lord counting allied soldiers already," Loren laughed, "sounds to me as if Master Flea's paranoia has crept inside your head as well as his advice?"

"I guess its all that time spent as Master of Coin, I feel better when I can count out the stacks and see how the equal up." Justin shrugged his shoulder wearily.

There is a swishing of an evening gown, and Petra Bettley exits the center of the Godswood. Seeing Hightower she pauses, and smiles, "Lord Justin, how are you?" Then seeming to notice Irwyn for the first time she laughs, "I am sorry did I interrupt a moment of passion? How rude of me." She does not move, just smiles at the men.

Justin Hightower gazed at the lady Petra passively.
"No milady Bettley, simply some idle chatter. How are you finding the evening?"

Petra smiled, and titled her head, "I think it is going acceptably. They are incredibly droll in there, and I needed a breath of fresh air. How is your evening, Justin? Droll?"

"Droll is an accurate description milady. We were also seeking fresh air, it was quite... stuffy in there." Justin said calmly. "Are you the only representative of the good Westerlands attending tonight?"

Petra nodded, "Cedric hates Rodrick for ruining all his grand plans. And all the other Wester Lords fear Cedric far too much to anger him." She shrugged her bare shoulders.

"But not Lady Petra of Lannisport? She needs fear no one." Justin said, smiling.

Petra chuckled, "Not I. And I suppose I have as many fears as you do, my Lord Justin." She eyed him closely, "How many do you fear?"
