Olander canted his head to the side at the somber tone in which he was addressed. "Ah... I had thought it a fresher catch before you," he said lightly. He had already caught word of the King's most recent decrees, as had most of the Landing.
"I had hoped to find you in better spirits, Lord Dondarrion. Is this an inconvenient time?"

"No, no. Please continue with what you wished to say", Lord Dondarrion said, as he withdrew his books, and called for Grace. She entered the room, and moved the books into a chest nearby. Afterwards she made eyecontact with Dondarrion and smiled, then removed herself to her own quarters.

The crannogman nodded politely as the woman scurried about. If anything about her stares bothered the northern lord, he failed to indicate so.
"I truth, I had wondered how you and yours are faring, milord. Are Sylvan and Elexia well? I haven't heard word nor whisper of them in a long age."

"Alive and well I suppose. These past years have been hard on me, I get much less time to mind to my own family since Rodrick ascended. If you weren't already given the indication... well, between the two of us, I do his work and take his shit."
Grace entered the room again, "Pardon me lords", she said, as she removed two books and a small comb from a wood chest in the corner of the room.

Olander gave a sympathetic smirk and inclined his head. His eyes only momentary looked to Grace with a curious glance before returning to Breck. "For that I am sorry, milord Hand. I pray you know that if there was any way I could lend you my aid, I would be pleased to do so. Your twins hold a place very close to my heart, and I only wish to see them well into their own rights."

Grace made a slight humming noise as she went through the wooden chest with interest. "Lord Reed, I thank you dearly, but I fear the only thing to assist in that would be my resignation as Hand. Or my death." Grace laughed at the dramatic nature of the last thing he said.

"I'm afraid that I am unwilling to engineer either of those means," he said with a smile. "I cannot lie in that I find it saddening the solitary life your children must lead. Blackhaven is a long way from King's Landing, no?"

Breck nodded. "They are of marriage age now, almost all of them. The ones who aren't live here with me...so there is no great need to fret, for they shall soon be out making their own families."

"Have your daughters any suitors in mind? Or your sons, young ladies they fancy?" he pondered curiously.

"They will listen to whatever I suggest...have you options you wish to present, Lord Reed?"

"My eldest son, Olivan is a strong willed, noble young man, without any obligation to another betrothal. I could see a marriage not only between our houses, but the North and the Stormlands themselves as beneficial," he said, openly.

Dondarrion nodded slowly mulling over the idea. "Which of my daughters did you wish to marry to Olivan?"

He is admitted to Lord Dondarrion's solar, where the Hand is sitting with his mistress, Grace. "Lord Tully. To what do I owe this pleasure?"

Pieter smiled, "Always to the point. I have come to speak about our wonderful King Rodrick." He said, watching for Breck's reaction.
