Tyberion grins, leaning back in his chair. "I'm rather sympathetic to Qhored's predicament. A Manderlord recently thought to take what's mine, as well. They need to be taught what happens to greedy fools."

"Indeed." Yancey looked at Lannister for several moments and then added, "I appreciate your goals, but understand mine. We need the Ironborn to be taught the lesson of loyalty, or the lesson of humility." He folded his fingers and watched Lannister closely.

Tyberion shrugs. "The Ironborn do have an independent streak, that is true, but are they worse than any others among us? At least they picked a side during the war, unlike our noble compatriots of the Mander. They've been beaten before, and badly, yet each time it only makes them chafe more under Westerosi rule. Give them some leeway, see what they do with it. What's the danger? On the one hand, we might have a war in ten years rather than now. On the other, the King might gain the true loyalty of the finest navy in Westeros."

"Arrangements can be made then. Do not mention this to the king." Yancey said.

"Yesterday would be soon enough." The Hand rocked back in his chair.

Several wagons, their drivers wearing Harlaw's scythe and their contents covered by thick tarps, pull up before the tower.
