Cedric isn't to be trusted, he clearly knows that Breck is lying through his teeth. Tallahar doesn't care, and everyone else trusts it was a threat.
I'm fairly confident the king will reward those who serve him well. If we can prove ourselves to him early on that we're loyal to a fault(We'd have to be very loyal too, not just act it) I am confident he will extend the power of the Stormlands further, maybe even to Dragonstone.

Assuming we do go to battle anyone have any good ideas on how we can prove our loyalty during the battle itself, and/or after the matter is over. Breck suggested sending me to talk with the queen, which I am more than willing to do to put us in favor but there must be more we can do besides that.

Risk our lives on the frontlines...capture the Empress, etc.
I also suggest we have better relations with Tallahar Tyrell, as much as it may plague any of you...he commands the single most men in Westeros, and he has an unwed daughter. His son, Callen is Breck's squire, but I think we can get in with him more than that.
How about marrying Jason to his daughter instead of Selyse?

Additionally, let us not forget that Lord Justin Hightower (who is 12 now), is approaching marriage-age.
I say this even though I don't suggest we marry off all our people at once, or at least not publicly. Some of the weddings can be done with minimal publicity.
(Or for that matter, Lord Craych Tyrell is 11 turning 12...he'd be an in with the Mander as well.)

It has also just been brought to my attention that three positions in the kingsguard are also open putting someone prominent in that position may get the king's ear.

That occurred to me as well, but I'm not sure how much sway Kingsguardsmen are allowed. We should definitely try to take one of the slots though.
And I'm not sure about Serafina Swann, as we haven't met her IC yet. We could offer up one of Lord Caron's nieces perhaps?

We would need someone seasoned to take the KG slot most likely. Basically an able bodied fighter at the least. Caron's nieces may work...I only fear they may get rejected.

I said Lord Caron had a niece...what I failed to include is that his niece is the Master of Coin's daughter.
As for the KG slot...how about Ser Roen Morrigen or Ser Colin Horpe. They're both master with their weapon skill.

Ah ok I see. They would work if they are chosen. What's good about KG is they get the king's ear sometimes and could sway things our way.

FYI everyone...I just purchased 1,200 mercenaries which are now sailing to Driftmark and will arrive to seize the castle in a month.

Nice who owns that Velaryon? Also Dragonstone is being blockaded which is nice.

Yeah, and as far as I'm aware there is no garrison on Driftmark...which means that they'll take the castle pretty easily.

A King's Man visited Dondarrion's tenting trying to inquire if anyone had been seeing Dondarrion. Assumably someone suspects him...I'm going to find out if anything was told, though I don't think even guards knew.
