As a side note...if we turn on Rickon support the Targ's we could really be the "swing-vote". All they need is manpower if they've got dragons. This is refering to Rhaegar Velaryon's rebellion correct? Is there any evidence to suggest that they do have dragons?

The Targaryens in question are triplet brothers, and do have dragons, yes.
As to the Rhaegar Velaryon rebellion... I'm thinking that's just more blowing steam, and that he hates the crown and Stormlands. I don't think that he is so much as supporting the Targaryens.

The Targaryens do have dragons. Breck knows this for sure because his father was the one who found them in KL and gave them to Rhodri Arryn. They must have been stolen at some point.
P.S. I'm surprised that no one asked me what Breck whispered in the translator's ear.

I was gonna ask you that, but after you told Cedric I had thought that was the truth. Although I admit, the embarrassment part didn't make sense, but I started doing something else and forgot to ask.
So, what DID you whisper to the Translator?

What? You mean what you told Lannister wasn't true? Good luck with those dreams by the way.

Heheh, yeah. Not that any of you have any way of knowing this IC unless Breck tells you, but he was visited by a representative of the Basilisks the night after the meeting. I'm trying to put us in the best position possible: one where everyone needs us to be loyal, where we are the "swing-vote", like I said. A position in which people may think we're not loyal, but we act loyal and speak loyally in every way... and there's they can do to stop us from gaining power

So put ourselves in an untrustworthy position and then exploit that position by actually being trustworthy?

More or less. Let everyone guess as to what we're doing, but in reality, we're really not up to anything. That way they'll think that they need to earn our loyalty somehow...or they'll try and punish us, which would be their worst mistake. I'm trying to make it a win-win situation.

I understand the benefit of making them pay for our loyalty, even when we are giving it for free, but our forces are relatively small in comparison to everyone else's. What happens if we make people suspicious and they decide that it would be better to eliminate us as a threat, rather than buy us off.

I agree Breck. There is a good point in how low our numbers are now. As long as we come out looking good that is great. We need to clear up this suspicion though, firts and foremost with the queen and king. Perhaps if we look really good we can gain there support in taking back some of our former holdings and rebuilding our strength.
P.S. has there been anyone bynamed "Dark Storm"?

Breck will maintain that he said nothing, but the whisper itself leaves the door open for a future possible alliance should the Targaryens, or these guys return again. Also, we need to still work on our alliances, that way it is harder for the king or queen to attack our honor without attacking our allies as well. Lastly, I think it's possibly even good that Cedric knows that Breck whispered something...Cedric and Darien are rivals right now, and Darien is our in with the Royces. We're clearly siding with Darien, but we should be careful of Cedric as a rival.
I think no one will ask to know more of the whisper until after the battle, if even then. I think most people will buy it, like Byren, and the others will not even have known it occurred.

And no, there hasn't been anyone named Dark Storm.

Sweet
OOC: I prefer Darien to Cedric so far even though I haven't met Cedric yet. Darien actually seems like a trustworthy and noble fellow.

No need to reiterate OOC, because everything on this board is OOC--that being said, I totally agree. Cedric appears to be a slimy bastard. I should also say how important it is that we work to put our allies in positions of power. There is one Stormlander on the Small Council, but if we push to get Olander Reed as Hand, and perhaps Darien Stone as some other position...we'd control a large minority if not the actual majority.

Ya I don't trust Cedric as far as I can throw him. I totally agree we need some power on the council.
