The Battle of Casterly Rock will likely decide the war one way or the other. If we lose, our house is fucked. We've committed too far if we lose now.
So let's just consider the options should we win. What we want in the aftermath; the spoils of the victors. Unfortunately, the battle is being fought on the homeground of one of our allies, so we can't just gleefully pillage.
However, we can try and extract some favors from the Hand and the new King. One of my *assumptions* is that if Michael is alive and wins the war, not only will he continue as Hand, but he will also become Lord Paramount of the Stormlands replacing the Baratheons. That's his benefit from waging this war -- Hand is nice, but you can't pass it on to your son.
So we probably won't be able to get Breyn named Hand. If Michael is either dead or stepping down, we'll probably butt heads with Baldwin Lannister over it.
However, goals we can get:
1) Breyn married to Daena Targaryen. We're already working on this one, but our importance to the victory gives us pretty good leverage.
2) <self-centered mode> A Lordship for Rhodri Royce. A couple things in my favor: as a second son, I'm close to the family head, but landless. I'm married to the Hand's sister -- does he want her husband to be a landless knight, or a Lord? This war should make for possibilities, not necessarily in the Vale. The Riverlands or the Stormlands likely have losers whose keep needs a new Lord.
Would Riverrun or Storm's End be too much to ask? Hey, you gotta aim high...</self-centered mode>
What else should we target? We'll want to strike before other families start pushing for things, or time passes and the Hand forgets the magnitude of the debt he owes us.
Again, if we lose the battle tomorrow, this is all out the window, but we should have a gameplan.
