Roland calls a meeting of the Small Council, when they arrive he tells them that Aranya is captive after some attempt to capture the exiled Targaryen by her, Felryn Harlaw, and some of Felryn's men.

"So it's war then?" Coldiron asked, seemingly delighted by the idea.

A rather pale looking Benfry enters hesitantly and takes a seat "Why has our embassador acted so rashly? I wished I had gone in her stead now. Her actions have only inflamed Lord Sergyo's prickly nature"

"Because the Sealord is an insufferable prick?" Erik asked rhetorically. "We're lucky she didn't gut him in his own foyer. I told you the Royce woman was too hot-blooded for the job."

Roland shook his head, dismayed. "I cannot know what she and Lord Harlaw were thinking. It seems a rash action to have taken, indeed. If she has so plainly broken these Braavosi laws without any sort of provocation, then what recourse do we have but to begin negotiations with the Sealord over her fate?"

"What, offer another trade agreement? Perhaps we can drown the bastard in parchment until he surrenders. He harbors traitors, and shoves them in our face, he can't very well think we'll not act to deal with them."

Benfry scowled. "I trust him not to keep to his word in either case. I imagine a rescue attempt would be poor odds?"

Elena nodded, "Since the explosion, this Sea Lord has been constructing a fortress with defense built upon defense." She took a deep breath, "Lord Smith as much distaste as we have for the Sea Lord. He has been a man of his word."

Roland nodded slightly. "If she bent the knee, we could give her lands... But I would say they should not be those her family previously held..." Roland trailed off in thought and then resumed. "What if we gave her lands that were not in Dorne at all? That might limit any rabble she could try to rouse."

"The Vale, The Far Reach, and the Iron Islands seem also to be reasonable places, as they have no history of consorting with Tristeza and her skullduggery."

Roland stared at Tommen directly, "I must concern myself with the good of the King's entire realm over that of my ancestral home." He looked around the room, "What is the opinion of the rest of the Small Council?"

"I have a hard time believing the Sealord means to return her to you, even if you do promise not to kill the bitch. He probably means exile in Braavos, where he can keep his Dornish sex slave on hand without worrying about us having her murdered." Erik said.
" And if she's to live anywhere, put her on the Iron Islands. I know a couple a fine sailors who could do with another salt wife."

Elena reports, "The Sea Lord is willing to pardon Lady Royce and Lord Harlaw if we commute Lady Tristeza's punishment to exile." "It is my understanding as well, that he means to keep his prize. I suspect he merely wishes us to stop trying to kill her" he smiles weakly "Personally I would exchange the life of Lady Royce for the certain death of Tristeza Martell, though it pains me to admit it, but it seems we do not have an option except to agree if we wish to see our Mistress of Laws safe & well again" he looks across at Lady Plumm. "I do not wish to impune upon your sources Lady Elena, but Lord Sergyo does not appear the trustworthy type. Do you think we can wring an assurance from him to rein in Martell from any insurrections on our lands. He must know that any implication in further treason on her part would impell us to seek retribution and resolution on his lands oncemore"

Elena looked to Benfry, "Milord you are asking me if I have men stationed in his head. I do not. I can not say what he will do. I do think he will abide by any deal he makes."
