"You will find your way to Westeros, Tristeza." Horas says. "If you do not, I will find a way to bring him to you."

Tristeza nodded appreciatively, before glancing towards the door; "Is there anything you need of me before I go?" she asked hesitantly.

Horas shakes his head.

She stared at him unblinkingly, her brow furrowed in consternation; "Will you ever forgive me?" she asked, her eyes searching his face intently.

Horas returns her gaze. "What have you done that requires my forgiveness?"

"Whatever it is that has earned me your contempt." she answered without hesitation, before adding; "Whatever it is that makes you look at me as though I were less than I once was."

Horas does not say anything for a long time, then shakes his head slowly. "There is nothing to forgive," he says flatly.

Tristeza's eyes narrowed slightly as she considered this, but her eyes never moved from his face; "That may be true," she said slowly, "and yet, I am your wife; but when I enter a room, you do not kiss me; when I say I have missed you, you dismiss my words without comment. When I am clearly in need of your reassurance, that is when you withold it more than ever. Horas..." she said in a small, broken voice, "You demonstrate all of the characteristics of disdain, but I cannot find a single trace of love in your face when you look at me. Not even the ghostly shadow of a man who once loved me. I see nothing but indifference."

"My wife, Tristeza?" Horas says softly. "I do not know how else to treat a woman who would sleep with another for power."

"For power?" she asked incredulously, "I made myself a traitor to the crown by supporting you in your revolt. I did it willingly, I would not blame you for it, for I supported your choice throughout, but that was where your alleged death left me, Horas; they would have killed me if they had found me, so I declared independence to save my own life, and to protect my people from their oppression. Only they believe now that that was my goal; others think the act was selfish, but I can promise you on the life of our child it was not. I sleep with another man because he is the only one willing and capable of protecting both me, and my the Dornish exiles, and that is the only price he would accept--I fell short of my promise to protect them, so I found someone who could. If you had that capability--or the willingness to do what he is going; whicever it is you lack...we would not be having this conversation." she said coldly.

"Oppression, Tristeza?" Horas says coolly, "The Dornish people have been ruled by the Iron Throne for near four hundred years. They were not oppressed. And it seems you misremember. You abandoned my cause before you thought that I was dead."
Horas studies Tristeza's face. "I have tried to provide options for you and your people, but you have done nothing but refuse and rebuff them from the beginning. You seem... content to do nothing more than hide. And I cannot respect that."

"This is where they are safest," she said, "It is no longer a matter of my own safety--Braavos is the only place where they will be protected. They are in no way prepared for battle, or even for travel...They have made a home in Braavos; they have livlihoods, and houses...friends even. Can you not respect the fact that I am relluctant to tear them yet again from their homes, and to thrust them into open...into the sights of a waiting predator?"

"If their home is Braavos they are no longer Dornish. They are Braavosi." Horas shakes his head.
"I am sure you will continue to do what you will, Tristeza." His voice is cold.

"I will do what is best for the Dornish, Horas; what will bring them the least pain and hardship, for I have brought them enough of it in the past; and as much as I regret the ends to which I must go on this occcasion on their behalf, I have commited wrongs against them, of which I can not ever hope to absolve myself--but I can at least lessen my debt to them, and that is what I will do. I hope some day you will understand the position in which I find myself, and exactly why I have made the decisions I have made."

"I understand the decisions you have made, Tristeza. That does not mean I agree with them," Horas says in the same cool tone.
