Aranya hugged Elena back, and said, "It's good to be back. And you look as lovely as ever." She grinned wryly. "Look at us now, the first women to ever join the small council, and serving together. Fate has drawn us together."

Elena smiled, and shook her head, "Fate my ass. Not unless Fate's sigil is three blue beetles. That is why I sit here, and I would be surprised if he had nothing to do with your appointment." She moved to a divan and pulled Aranya with her sitting down on the comfy seat and motioning for the Royce to join her.

"Perhaps he did, but little Rickon grilled me with questions before he accepted me," Aranya said, sitting on the divan with Elena. "I was taken aback. He does not behave like a normal boy, really. But he tries hard to be a good king."
She leaned back against the cushions. "I haven't seen you since I left the Eyrie, so many years ago."

"Rickon is unique. Piers has drilled some harsh truths into his head already. I fear it has come at the expense of his innocence." Elena replied, then she thought a moment a slight reminiscint smile filled her face, "I feel like it has been years since I left the Eyrie as well."

"I was sickened to hear of Rhod's death," Aranya said quietly. "And his son's. Were you there when it happened?"

Elena shook her head, "I was in King's Landing. Rhodri and I had had a disagreement."

Elena was quiet for a moment, "It was about our son. And his wife." The way she says that lets Aranya know she does not want to talk about it anymore.

Aranya stared at her for a moment, and then let the matter slide.
"Anyway," she said. "We need to call a council meeting about the rumors of a Targaryen prince in Braavos. He needs to be killed at once."

Elena thinks for a long moment, "There is a Prince Targaryen in Braavos. A Prince Aellion, on of Maerys Triplets. But that means there are two more also. And more interestingly; all three were wards of Horas Blackwood for the last fifteen years."

Aranya's eyes narrowed. "Instead of killing them? What were they, his insurance? But he's dead now. The guards he set on them must have released the triplets because they weren't getting paid any longer."

Elena nodded, "That is one way of interpreting the evidence. And they were kept alive as a check to Callen at first. You remember that the Blackwoods supported the Targaryen's, but knelt to Callen when they were sure he had won."
