Guys, I was on earlier today, before this thread had been started....before the Time Freeze coup and all. I had read the post about the investigation and was just deciding on the best course of action.
Obviously the first thing to do is to raise the army/navy and take up a defensive watch on the coastal cities, so 75% of our max should be raised as soon as possible. The likely points they would come after would be the major coastal castles, and The rock, but I'll review the maps just to make sure I haven't left out a viable position. We do want to think about a counter-attack, etc. Chaos is always a great time to take advantage and launch opportune attacks.
As for declaration, I am tempted to leave us neutral unless I find out that the Ironborn have declared one way. If I think we can feasibly turn the tide on the opposing side, that would most likely be the best choice.
I've got a little reading to do to get a better gist of a few things...and I can't post that frequently, but I will try and keep up on things as much as I can.
The notice was just a notice. No trial would have caused us trouble as we have the best resources to bribe our way out of problems. We'll sort it out, but just to make sure I will pm smith on the callups as well.

Yes, my lord. I've got my tiny fleet patrolling around Fair Isle, and my tenth ship is docked in King's Landing. My new second, Ser Martyn Hill, is commanding Fair Isle's forces for the meantime. The Crag is the most strategically placed castle to fight the Ironborn, it's one of the northernmost castles near the coast. It would be the best staging ground for an invasion of the Iron Islands, but it's also likely to be a target high on their list, if they're actually looking to take any territory.

I have been negotiating with Lord Frey, and he claims almost everyone is for Horas. They agreed to not support Ironborn against us.... and I declared for Horas. If you want to stay neutral, PM Smith. But we don`t think we gain much by staying neutral, and Horas appears to be winning side. If Ironborn support him and we not, we may end in big trouble.

Yes, we can't have the ironborn on the winning side of this power struggle and us on the losing side... Its too bad, I liked Ser Benfry, too.

Then i will update our declaration to Horas, as our current objective is anything against the Ironborn and nothing aside from being on the winning side is as important. I'd like the Lannister's to remain as strongly united as we can through this chaos and if we are able to grab land from the Ironborn I will see it given out as fairly as possible.
Let them Hear us Roar!

Looks like a sound plan, Lord Maurin. I take it that you have ordered the calling up of many troops in the west?

I ordered it. But I may have troubles with Internet access next week, so please act without me.

It shouldn't be too difficult to defend against some raiders with the power of the west on our side

And if Maurin okays the marriage, feel free to go with it, Lewys. Vvonne was played by a player for a moment but is not active now.

Aye Lews, I'd like to have a little interaction with him and grab approval from the Smith to use my daughter (who was played for a shortwhile) before promising you, but I shouldn't see an issue. With the chaos of the melee, leading into the Coup, I'm holding off on a few stories I wanted to post and things seem to be backing up. Once I can establish that Maurin is out of King's Landing I should be able to catch up with you and arrange a time to interact on that marriage proposal.
I'm considering reviving the Goldsmith Manor board in King's Landing for our own usage and interaction with others. Let me know what you guys think about that board or using another one in King's Landing.
I've got this week coming up off of work so I can check in a bit more often than twice a day.

Actually, we need someone at West to organize defences..... I fear possible attack on Lannisport.
Vvonne was actually played by my girlfiend... she may return to play, but propably next month or not at all. She said her character could marry a nice guy.

I understand Maurin.
Haha, well, Mors is nice enough, if young and a bit arrogant. He's ambitious, but treats women with respect. He doesn't have to marry her, if you have further plans with her. I just thought it would be a great honor for Mors to marry a woman of such a noble house as Lannister. If there are other unmarried women of Lannister or another great house that are available, I would be grateful for that, too.

Well, while the time freeze is still on, we need to decide where to send our troops. If you fear an attack on Lannisport, we must send troops there. It is a key city and would be embarrassing if it were burnt.
