The Keep at Brightwater has been decorated in fabulous colors of Blue and Gold and Red and Green to celebrate the wedding of Lord Alexander Irwyn and Dacey Florent. Guests are escorted to a large pavillion just outside where some minstrels are playing and refreshments have been setup.

Lady Anne entered the chambers were Dacey Florent was getting ready. She held young Cyrus on her hip. She smiled at the soon to be bride. The two were about the same age.
"You look ravishing dear." Anne said, smiling. Cyrus cooed agreeably.

Dacey blushed, "Thank you. . . I am so nervous though." She looked at the mirror brushing her long brown hair.

"You should have seen me. I barely said a word the entire ceremony. But you've done very well for yourself. How did you meet Lord Alexander? I was led to understand this was not an arranged marriage." Lady Anne smiled.

"Well Alex rescued me when I got into some trouble after I ran away from my mother's first choice for my husband." She smiled, "I am not sure my mother approved of Alex at first, of course she changed her mind later."

Lady Anne could only smile. She'd listened to Francis at bed nights scheming to arrange a quality marriage for his bannerman Ser Alex. To him it was only a side benefit that they actually had an emotional attachment. Not that love couldn't arise out of duty, as it had for Anne. Cyrus struggled against his mother, demanding to be put down. Anne huffed in annoyance, and let the boy down to begin crawling around the area.
"Well this is your day. No reason to dwell on what happened before."

"Indeed, I am glad this day has finally arrived, I was afraid that Alex was going to be called away he has been terribly busy this past year, I think he wrote me from every corner of the Far Reach."

Lady Anne's face fell. "Yes. I wish Francis was a little better in his letter writing. He writes often, but a little to task oriented, if you understand my meaning. I've not seen him in more than a year. I keep asking him to allow me to travel to King's Landing to be with him, but he always says, maybe when things improve."

"I am sorry," Dacey looked sheepishly at her feet, she had not even thought about how Lady Anne felt.
"Dacey how are your preparations coming?" Lady Sybill Florent said not knowing her daughter had a guest.
"Oh I am sorry Lady Varner, I did not know you were here. . . Is that your little one?" She said knowing the answer, "Can I hold him please? He looks so adorable."

"Oh of course Lady Florent, please. I'm sure he would like that." Anne bent down and scooped the boy up, handing him to Sybil. Cyrus immediately began to cry, and struggle to get down again.
"I'm afraid he's ever on the go. Cannot sit still even for a moment, I'm sure he picked that up from his father."

"Without a doubt, how does your husband fare? I hear there is much difficulty in King's Landing at the moment."

"He does well considering. But you now how the men folk are. They always say everything is fine even if it isn't. He does complain about not being able to see the baby." The baby, seeming to recognize that it had been brought into the conversation cried louder.

"Can I hold him?" Dacey asks, Lady Anne hands him to her and she begins to rock him slowly singing a sweet lullaby to quiet him.

Anne smiled, as Dacey quieted the boy. "Seems you have the talent for it, oh.. cradle his head." Anne hovers nervously around the girl, even though the two were basically of the same age, it was amazing how much marriage and motherhood had matured her.

Dacey handed Cyrus back to his mother. Anne's baby was adorable but she had heard childbearing was very painful. She wondered if she would make a good mother when the time came. She turned back towards the mirror to continue her preparations for the wedding.
"Who else were you able to steal away to make the journey here, Lady Anne?" Sybill asked.
