He took the news as a form of comfort, despite no mention of Wyenna. "Well, I'm sure they bless this union with their hearts, if not their presence." Hopefully, it'll remain that way.
"I hope as a representative of the king, I do the Iron Throne justice in my demeanor at this occasion."

"Well as long as you are here to drink and be merry, then I think you will represent the throne just fine," Lady Florent says batting her eyelashes at the Prince.
"I know this is my daughter's day, but since you do represent the King, I was wondering if I could discuss some business with you?" The Lady Fox smiles sweetly.

Represent the king...? Well, why not?
He smiled back, "House Baratheon has always been known for it's willingness to improve relations with other houses... especially one as dignified as the masters of Brightwater Keep."
'Dignified' of course being noble-speak for 'wealthy and powerful'.

"Well Prince," Lady Florent spoke hesitantly, "My husband, Alfonse has been in prison for well over two years because of the rebellion. I was hoping that the King would be willing to make a ruling on his case?" She blushed a little, "It was Alfonse's wish to give his daughter away, but now that will never happen, but hopefully with your help you can have him released." Lady Florent smiled sweetly, adjusting her gown to enhance her sizable busom.

"...well, family has always been an important issue in the realm. I'm sure I can arrange a release... for good behavior since the rebellion, that is."
Edrick didn't even know which rebellion she was talking about, but the Florents would certainly be powerful allies... that was his rationale for wanting to adjust that gown even further.

"Oh thank you Prince Edrick, we have waited so much for an answer about Alfonse's status. It would be such a relief to have him released."
"Please now enjoy the wedding." The Lady Fox swoons, in truth she cared little about her husband's status but needed a ruling so that the Florent debitor's would pay their debts. Something they had avoided while Alfonse was in prison.

"I'm sure I will..." He entered the pavilion, hand on the pommel of his blade in case of waiting Hightowers in his path to the wine.

//////////////////////////// The Septon arrives and after speaking with the mother of the bride takes his place at the front of the congregation. Lord Alexander Irwyn dressed in the red and green of his house moves to the front near the altar and awaits his bride to arrive. Ser Gilbert Flowers stands next to him, although he appears uncomfortable in the formal attire.

Lady Anne Varner sits in the front row, between Ser Osmund Hillcrest and Ser Rodney Blackbar. She was wearing the black and white of her house, with an ermine collar. Bronze earrings dangled from her ears, representing the Royce family.

Music plays as the bride, Dacey Florent, walks down the aisle escorted by her brother Steffan Florent. She smiles at Alexander Irwyn who is waiting at the front with the Septon.

Edrick sipped his wine, admiring the bride more than he should, though he was more conscious of how quickly he could seduce the bride's mother before he left for Oldtown.
He didn't even know these people... all the more convenient, he supposed.

The Septon began to mutter something to the congregation, Alexander tried to listen to him but all he could concentrate on was his lovely bride to be. She smiled back at him, her blue eyes sparkling like on the night they had first met.
The crowd rised to recite a hymn to the maiden and the mother and then they sat down again. Dacey was such a fabulous singer, he thought, her voice as pure as any he had ever heard.
The Septon muttered something else about loyalty and love and honor and protection, Alexander only half heard what was said, his heart racing as the Septon said something to Dacey who answered her vows with a resounding yes.
"And Alexander Irwyn do you take Dacey Florent to be your wife. . .?" the Septon said some other things but Alexander was only think about his response.
"I do," he said when the Septon finished. There was a large cheer from the crowd as Alexander then removed, Dacey's Maiden Cloak and placed his own Red and Green around her shoulders. Alexander and Dacey gave each other a long passionate kiss, much to the pleasure of the crowd and the two newlyweds left the pavillion heading to the reception afterwards.

Ser Rodney leaned over to Ser Gilbert. "Good the mushy stuff is over, let's get to the drinking." Lady Anne gave the Blackbar knight a smile of playful disapproval.

"Your telling me Ser Rodney," the Drunken Bastard says smiling, "May I recommend the Ale its been brewed specifically for the occassion by our brewmaster. Its really fantastic stuff," Ser Gilbert says heading in that direction to get two pints.

Ser Blackbar stroked his mustache and wondered just what kind of Ale the brewmasters at Irwyn had produced. Ser Osmund Hillcrest however was on duty, and watched the surroundings carefully, mindful never to be more than an arm away from Lady Anne.
