Jaehaerys chuckles. "Economics and Healing eh? Well, lets see.." Jaehaerys thinks back, recalling when he got the links. "The economics test wasn't overtly hard, but of course that is from my point of view. I haven't taken my healing test yet. In fact, I am taking it tomorrow. What a coincedence huh?" Jaehaerys smiles.

He smiles and nods at Jaehaerys.
"Was the test of economics concentrating on mangement or at trading?"
He looked a little confused at Jaehaerys at first, feeling something was amiss when Jaehaerys said he would take the test also, but he shrugged it off, it was only a coincidence, Jaehaerys was his friend, sort of anyways.
"Funny, maybe we'll achieve the silver link at the same time"

Acolyte Maurin Lannister walked through the corridors of the Citadel, when he heard people speaking about the test he planned to take tomorrow. He stopped, trying to remember whose room it was.

"It was more about management, although there was a little about trading, not much though." Jaehaerys heard another person coming, and looked out to see who it was. "Hello. Whats your name?" He asked, as the man walked in.

"Maurin....Lannister if you couldn`t tell by my looks." -He smiles, pointing at his golden curls.
"You are Acolyte Jaehaerys, right?" -Maurin nods to the Acolyte. "But I don`t know you." -he looks at the Novice.

Jaehaerys smiled. "Yes, I am Jaehaerys. And that is Gideon, a newly made Acolyte." Jaehaerys smiled and waved his hand towards Gideon.

Gideon bowed his head slightly, this was the kind of acolyte that thought himself better, as he hadn't recognized him, thinking he was a novice. But he would give the man the benefit of the doubt, so he offered his hand.
"We were just discussing about the link tests" he paused
"What links have you earned?"

Gideon nodded, even more suspicious then before, three acolytes taking the same test on the same day. What was going on.
"Will you be taking the advanced warfare class with Maester Shreve?"
Gideon had never intended taking the warfare class before coming here, but when he started he found it quite interesting. Maester Shreve had kept away from Gideon since the meeting all those months ago. He wondered if the maester would still teach him.

"Surely, how am I to advise my family as a Maester if I am not knowledgable in this matter? Frankly, Maester Shreve always talks to the point, which is refershing after the endless musings of other teachers." -Maurin speaks, trying to evaluate this Novice and his worth.

He nodded, finding that he liked this acolyte too, even if there was something about him that reminded him of a doubled edge sword. On one hand he was nice, but underneath there seemed to be something dangerous hiding. He wasn't sure he was right, but the way he looked mentioning warfare and helping his family made Gideon uneasy.
"Yes, Maester Shreve does things completely different here. Have you read the book 'Maesters of Old'"

Jaehaerys watched the two Acolytes speak. Gideon is measuring Maurin's worth. He seems to be pretty wary of him. "Three links, very good. I have five myself."

"Well, you don`t have to learn everything by heart. Maesters want to encourage us to think." -Maurin adds, with a subtle grin.
"Measters of Old? No I somehow missed it..." -He gives Gideon a curious look, surprised that Novice is recommending him books.
