"Interesting," Rhodri says to the former. "Perhaps I misjudge the Late Lord Baldwin. I shall put off my guessing game, then, for now. As for my wife, I have connections of course in the Vale, the Stormlands, and Braavos, but nowhere else, and trust little else. But to hide her in the Vale may tempt me to visit her, revealing her location."
"The Sisters, perhaps, but those Islands have few defenses. If someone did discover her location there, she would be easy prey."
"Grandview is a remote location, and with Lord Valwert gone, few would think I have any connection left there. But it would be truly cruel to leave Becca as Fenra's sole company. Bronzegate is along the main road and not isolated enough, and Mistwood as my daughter's hold is too obvious."
"I do know the Lord of Tarth and Lord Estermont from my time at Storm's End; both isles are certainly remote, but the less people told, the less questions must be answered. Where would you suggest?"

"To be honest, if you have connections in the Vale, the Stormlands and Braavos I would recommend Dorne or the North." Nehmen paused, "Where you have connections people may follow them. I have connections we could utilize at Flint's Finger or Ghosthill. Of your recommendations I like all the islands you mentioned because they are so loosely connected to you. When you hide something it is better to not hide it in the first place people will look."

"Tarth then. I do not know the lord of Tarth. What should we say to him?" Nehmen asked.

"He will know Becca, from when she was a little girl. There is no point in lying to him about her identity. Surely he will also have heard of all the killings in King's Landing, and the growing tension. He can be told that she is being hidden from a revenge killing -- no need to bring up Targaryens, cults, and dragons."
"His is a small family, and he has no vassal lords on Tarth -- he rules the whole island, though few people live there. She could live in disguise at Evenfall Hall or have a home in the mountains of Tarth."

"If we are sending her there, a small home in the the hills would be better. Otherwise it would be remarked on, a new woman in Evenfall Keep, this way it will be village gossip instead of court gossip." Nehmen frowns at his hands, "You do realize that it will be very hard for you to visit her there. Sudden frequent visits to Tarth would raise eyebrows."

"I am Warden of the East. My charges include the Stormlands. When my small, lightly manned ship departs Gulltown for Storm's End, none need know it stops at Tarth to take on fresh water and supplies, or when a winter storm drives the craft from Blackwater Bay en route to King's Landing. I will keep the visits infrequent, but the ocean leaves no tracks."

Nehmen blinks, "I had forgotten that. Well I see." He smiles, "Is there anything else, before I leave."

"I do not think so, but I want to thank you for your service...to the realm." Rhodri stands and bows his head.
