Ser Erik sits in the meeting room at the table his brothers are sitting there with him, or as his Brother Ronald is doing sitting at a sofa reading the White Book.
"Brother what do you think of the Kings choice to cast aside the Greyjoys there fleets can ever be very useful"

"They where raping and pillaging the innocents of the Riverlands brother, as for the military matter of the navy Lord Redwynd's fleet could whip the ironborn any day."

Erik turns his head to his brother still with the famous white book of the Kingsguard in his hands, "MMM yes yes, you are correct about the fleet. But the ironborn will never trust Callen again and may hold a grudge against the throne for many years"

"That has always been true about the Ironborn though, they will sit brooding on there islands until one of them calls himself a king then Callen will crush them and it all start again."

"But without the Ironborn the seven Kingdoms will never be at peace and isn't that something we all want"

Temporarily in the Eyrie
/////////////////////////////
Benfry noticed Ser Pedryc Yew walking about the corridors of the Eyrie and hailed him. He was curious to learn a little more about his fellow brothers. "Ser Pedryc!" he exclaimed "How are you faring? Ill news from the West isn't it? I pray your father and brother manage to keep clear of the chaos. Have you heard from them since Keyce?"

Pedryc shakes his head, "I have not brother. I am concerned, what is my father thinking."

Benfry shrugs. "Perhaps he thinks it is better to be involved and try and stop the bloodshed than to stand by?"

Yew shooks his head, "He is an old fool, and my brother should take his seat."

Benfry looked solemn at Pedryc's response. "Maybe that is the problem. He feels aged and useless and wishes one last great story to be involved in - so long as he is not allowed to tell it!" Benfry smiled a quick grin. While never having met Lord Yew, the man's ability to talk incessantly was near legendary

"Only the more reason for my brother to step up and control the situation." Yew looks angry and disbelieving out a window.

Benfry patted Pedryc on the shoulder and said "Well, I overheard the Regent ordering all the factions in the West to come here to settle matters so perhaps you can speak with them then"

Ser Yew looked at Benfry deep in thought, "Did he say who he planned to support?"

Benfry stared for a moment at Pedryc and replied "Well. It was more a long list of people he planned not to support, if you follow my meaning" he smiled wryly. "Always hard to tell with Lord Piers what he really means and what he doesn't and which way he'll jump when the time comes. He mentioned the Westerlings & Cedric favourably but I can never tell when he's stringing his audience along or not. The Hand was just as shifty" he shook his head in amusement. "I think they both thought they got what they wanted but if you asked them what that was I bet you'd get two different answers" he barked a short laugh and slapped his sword hilt. "A good thing I chose this over the tongue or quill, my brother. I don't have the wit or guile to match words with those two!"

Yew nodded "I grew up around Lord Baldwin and Piers. I understand how snakes speak. And why they have forked tongues."
