Ser Tytos nodded. "I would be happy to accept any duties that I have to while you are busy as Lord Regent. I will gladly help to lead the Kingsguard. However..." Tytos paused for a moment.
"After the Melee disaster, the Ironborn have raised their banners and are raiding the Westerlands. I would like to have an active role in either trying to negotiate their stopping, or the trial, or anything else I can." After taking a moment to think, Tytos snaps his fingers.
"I would like your permission to personally stand by their side. After they were attempted to be assassinated, no doubt the culprits will try to kill them again to tie up loose ends. If I were to guard them, they would be very safe."
OOC: Since this convo has been going on weeks RL I decided to make it going along with the events.

Benfry wavered slightly "Lord Harlaw and Lord Coldiron are still being tended to by maesters. In so far as I know, they are surrounded by their own men. I doubt they're in the mood to let anyone not from the iron islands anywhere near them at the moment"

Galahad waits here alone, teaching himself how to read from a book found in the room.

A shadow fell across Ser Galahad's book, and he looked up to see Ser Mychel standing over him. "Reading, eh? That's always good, although I was never big on books myself," Ser Mychel said jovially. "Still, now that the White Book's in my possession, I have reading of my own to be doing. I've not yet finished Ser Benfry's page, nor Ser Aemon's or Ser Jarmen's," he said, and his face fell at the thought.
"I've got an assignment for you, however. I want you to go to Dragonstone and retake the island. Lord Redwyne's fleet has blockaded it but someone must represent his grace when the Reachmen storm the fortress and I believe you are up to the task."

Galahad looked up from the book and began listening to his orders. When they were clear, Galahad nodded.
"I will do my best for his grace," he said before looking around. "However, Mychel... I have not been inducted yet, nor have I recieved my armor. Will this take place before I leave?"

"Of course. Your vigil will begin tomorrow, with Ser Malcolm, and seven days after you will say your vows. There is plenty of armor in the White Sword Tower's armory, or you can commission your own from the Red Keep's armorer. You'll leave for Dragonstone after that." ooc: Just write a scenario about you taking a 7-day vigil in the Great Sept, and then saying your vows afterward. Ser Malcolm Hardyng is the other man being sworn in as KG so put him in with you. lordsofwesteros.proboards107.com/index.cgi?board=thelibrary&action=display&thread=5003 <---- That was my induction scenario if you need a reference.

"I shall go prepare, then, Ser Mychel," Gal said, before closing the book and retiring to his quarters.
ooc: Do we actually have a thread for the White Book? I'd like to see that.
