Without waiting for the Karstark boy's answer Roose brushes past him and enters the tower that housed Lord Commander Bracken. Making it to the top he knocked softly on the door.

Bracken's eyes left the fire and turned to the Stark, "No he came back, but his tongue had fallen out so he said nothing. What does 'No Word' mean to some one as lofty as the Lord of the North?" The fire light reflected of the heat in Jamie's eyes.

Roose stared for a bit, and then began to laugh to. "Forgive me Jaime. My recent trip to King's Landing has blurred the lines between sarcasm and seriousness. It seems to be a habit of most politicians to mix the two."
