Villisander laughed, "I think not." The bravos standing around the room laugh also.

"So tell me again what you and the Sealord want?"

"We want two thirds of the amount deposited into the Iron Bank." Villisander replied.

"Provide me with permission and aid to scour and hire Braavos for sell-swords up to the number I require, enough warships with crews to transport those men out of Braavos, along with myself and my retainers, and you can have it."

Villisamder shook his head, "You can think about our offer in your new apartments."

Rhaegar nodded.
"Your hospitality is unrivalled" he said sarcastically.
"I hope my apartments are comfortable. The Sealord will be waiting a long time if he thinks to gain something for nothing from me. Let me know when your master has agreed to my offer. If he wishes to negotiate further, well he knows where I am."

The Bravos step forward, and lay their hands on Rhaegar's shoulders. "This way boy."

The Velaryon shrugged his shoulders in resignation.
"Is the Sealord so short of gold? How much do you think I have Lord Villisander?"

Villisander rattled off the exact number of coins deposited into Velaryon's accounts. Then winked at him, "The Sea Lord pays for every need Braavos has, and countries have a way of draining coin faster then a whore with teats bigger then wine kegs."

Rhaegar shrugged his shoulders again.
"In that case Lord Villisander, if the Sealord is desperate for gold, would it not be better to be guaranteed some of the gold I have, than perhaps none at all?"
"If you leave me without the means to support myself and my men, then taking up your offer of 'hospitality' is likely the only choice left open to me."

Villisander thought about it. "We can not help you, we would anger the King of Westeros. And what would we gain as an ally?"

Rhaegar thought for a moment.
"As you point out, I am landless. And as you know I have gold."
He paused thinking again.
"I pay the Sealord a stipend per month to be drawn out of my funds. The Sealord gains a regular supply of my gold to use as he will. In return, I and my retainers and other servants have the freedom to come and go from Braavos as we will, with the forces that we command. As well as this, when present in Braavos we will be able to freely move around the city, subject to the laws and regulations of Braavos. The Sealord does not assist me in any other way. Indeed even when I and my followers are absent from Braavos, even for years, the Sealord still gets paid monthly."
Rhaegar's eyes met Villisander's.
"The Sealord gets what he wants - eventually - as I do. In fact with any further income I might gain, he most likely gains more in the long term than what he would get, if I paid him two thirds of my funds."

Villisander nodded, and waved his hands. "Acceptable, for now."

Rhaegar gave a short bow.
"Very well Lord Villisander. It shall be done. I shall authorise the Iron Bank to begin paying a stipend to the Sealord's treasury per month, beginning from today."
He paused.
"I'm informed that the Sealord is.... well let's just say,.... quite influential in some of the other Free Cities. I trust that the stipend I am paying will mean there will not be unforeseen problems with me and mine entering and leaving those places where the Sealord has considerable clout?"

Villisander shrugged, "Of course."
