The bravo considers pressing the point, and than returns to the small cadre, and their rapid fire discussion.
"What is required, specifically, for this funeral ceremony?" the bravo asks, returning from among his peers.

"In order to drown him, I need to tie him to rocks." At the rest, she hesitated, thinking. Aranya was not completely familiar with the ironborn customs, though she knew a little. "It's personal," she said at last, staring at them again. "Between me and him and his god. I don't know all their customs. I just need rocks and rope."

The bravo considered this for a moment, and than returned to the group, discussing it rapidly in Braavosi.
"We can provide these things. But you must swear on the souls of your children that you will not attempt to escape."

"I already swore I wouldn't," Aranya said, with bitter anger. It had been to Vikary. Her fists clenched. "But I swear it again."

"I swear... on the souls of all my children, that I will not attempt to escape," said the Bravo, speaking slowly, indicating that he expected her to repeat after him. "If I break my word, may I, and all my offspring burn in hellfire forever."

Aranya repeatedly coldly, "I swear on the souls of all my children that I will not attempt to escape. If I break my word may I, and all my offspring, burn in hellfire forever."

The bravos clucked among themselves like hens, but seemed satisfied. The lead bravo snapped his fingers, and two others went into the hallway, returning with a series of servants and a wooden pallet.
"They will place the body on the pallet for carrying to the shore." The bravo said quietly.

Aranya ignored him, and gave the servants a look that made them back hastily away. She picked up Felryn in her arms. She was a little weakened by her imprisonment, with little food and no exercise, but she held him with gentle strength. "Let's go."

The reaver's head hung from a flap of flesh obscenely as the Lady of Duskendale struggled mightily to carry the burden herself.
"Lady Royce please." said the Bravo. "Allow us to use the pallet. We here at Braavos respect all gods, and the dead. These servants will work no ill."
Whatever her decision, the small procession began through the halls, towards a side door.

The sight of his gashed neck and his head hanging disturbed her, but Aranya somehow adjusted so that his head rested against her shoulder, however precariously. It was very uncomfortable, but she gritted her teeth and her jaw set with determination. No Braavosi would ever touch him or carry him again.
Felryn was a tall man, and it was monstrously difficult to carry him in her arms as they walked. It would have been easier to sling him over her shoulder, but Aranya would never have done that. He was not a sack of potatoes. With every step, she reminded herself of the sacrifices he had made for her, and the burden became easier to bear.

Arriving early, Ser Steffen waits until two hours after lunch time, before being admitted to a back terrace of the palace.
There Lord Nero Desidius, the Sealord's steward, seated on a divan, lazily throwing bread to a pond of oversized carp which snapped the food up greedily. He turned and looked up at the Lannister when he entered.
"Ah, You must be Steffen Lannister. Welcome. We've heard... so much about you."

Steffen winced somewhat. "All good I hope," he replied with a wan smile.
"I assume you may have already been told why I am here, or at least have guessed."
He wandered over to the pond absent-mindedly and peered down at the ugly fish.

"You arrived on one of the Lord Velaryon's ships, and as your daughter is married into the family on Dragonstone, i presume that you have joined him in his rebellion. You have no doubt come to request ships and men to assist you in this endeavor, is that correct?" Nero smiled wolfishly.

"You make me sound so crude and one-dimensional," Steffen responded with a pout.
"But yes, that's the gist of it. Might I ask exactly what Lord Delinal thinks of House Targaryen and their claim? And perhaps what he thinks of Aellion as an individual?"
