I've heard no word of this yet, but I would assume that the Wall is still standing, correct? Have there been any massive wildling/Other attacks that the books are heading towards?

Yes, the Wall is still standing There have only been minor wildling attacks. For basic reference (may be posted later or not), the Lord Commander of the Night Watch is Graham Wendwater, who has served in his post for over 20 years.

Ok, I have a question. I know I'm probably looking a little too far down the road, but once the story takes off, will we ever be allowed to play more than one character at a time? I'll admit, I'm pretty new to web-based RPGs, so I don't know if that's frowned upon or not.

I think the intimacy of just playing one character will set this apart. It's possibly that players will be able to play two characters, but I think having your (second, to just roleplay as) will help at least somewhat in that regard. Of course, if your character dies you can start another character with ease.

Good question. The small but impregnable castle is now run by the descendants of an Arryn bastard, who lived many years back. For this reason it is now popularly called "Stone Castle".

Was he legitimized? Would that mean that there are still Arryns in the Vale, but House Royce now rules instead?

Yes, House Arryn is virtually extinct. There are some "Arryn Pretenders" such as the (unlegitmized) descendents of the Arryn bastard that rule the Eyrie. Hope that answers both questions at the same time.

Storm's End is held by the brother or next eldest kin of the King. Dragonstone is held by the next heir to the throne.

My question is how you approach death in this. No place likes God Moding, everyone should dislike it. (I know I do)
But this isn't a question of that really. I know a lot of RP's go along the lines "no killing someones character without their permission". Is that one of these, or will there be scenarios/actions (such as battle) where a character could die against the will of the owner?
Personally I am for this.
The only other comment I had was so far as skills were concerned, say I did make a Stark Uncle who was far older than the majority of the people. Should he be more advanced in the skills because of his age, or would he still start at the base level with everyone else?

I think he may gain the skills more easily than others, but I wouldn't make him too much older (maybe in his 30's or 40's). Also, death is natural and if you try to do something risky and fail, or just get mortally wounded/slain in a battle, you are dead...period. You can of course start again as your previous character's son, brother or other relative to avenge their kin or what not. To be repetitive, characters are vulnerable to death against their will (including assassination attempts).
