"I should have rather done so with a full larder, before your Wolf Lord ate us out of house and home. Fifteen thousand men, for several weeks! Without so much as a how do you do. It was unconscionable. I should as well had supped with Iron born for all the Northmen's courtesies. What do you want Crannogman."

He bowed his head. "I want to make amends. Milord Roose no doubt had many other pressing matters to attend to. I realize my troops are putting a strain on you and yours, but I trust you would prefer our company to the ironborn. The treasonous make poor company, no?"

"I find soldiers to be poor company, regardless of their causes." Frey replied dryly.
"How do you intend to make amends?"

Olander paused, then sketched a slight bow. "By leaving, milady. I pray the Twins come under no harm while they are undefended," he said, perhaps a shade too icy.

"I look forward to your departure." She said, returning the coldness.

500 crownlanders wait outside the Twins as Ser Patrek rides towards the castle along with a rider to send message back to the small army.
"I am Ser Patrek Redfort, and I would like to speak with the Lady Frey," Patrek said politly to a guard.

the few guards on hand show Patrek Redfort in to the Lady Frey's solar.
"Ah... another batch. And how many mouths to feed did you bring with you?"

Patrek bowed before he spoke "Another batch, my Lady? There is five hundred men with me, though we still have food left from Seagard. I only ask if we may stay here until the King gives us further instructions".

The Lady Frey sighed, "We've had two armies of Northmen eating us out of house and home, by comparison, you're group isn't much. I suppose we shall make do."

"I thank you for your generosity, Lady Frey. I will not forget it, neither will the men... and I will make sure the King hears of it. You have done more to aid the King than the other lords in the Riverlands," Patrek bowed.

A weary and dirty band of men arrive at the Twins, numbering 7 in total. They ask to meet with Lord Frey and the unshaven, scruffy old man in charge claims to be the Commander of the King's Men. Whatever jokes the guards were about to make, die stillborn when they see the haunted look in the man's eyes. "Get your lord. Now" he spits out before dismounting

A rider from the army camped outside approaches as he sees the seven men from afar. 'Could it be,' he thought and as he came closer he grinned which turned into a twitch. "Dan! Good to see your sorry ass, what happened at Seagard? Good job with the burning!" Patrek laughed.

Danwell flickered a smile which ghosted across his face "Pat. I'm glad you made it. We lost another one in Seagard" he said, a lost look in his eyes briefly. "We managed to get out after we set a few of the ships ablaze but I couldn't bring the rivermen back to our side" he finished glumly. "Still. At least we hurt them - we did that much. Did the others with you make it? And what of Kings Landing? We've been taking backtrails all the way here to avoid ironborn and rivermen patrols. Gordon's help has been invaluable" he said grudgingly
