Anna Flowers, the wife of Ser Casset Corbray, and sister to Rhett Flowers is to attempt to make Casset more sympathetic to the Reach (not making him betray the Reach...)

Hmm, it is a little cheeky considering he created the character, provided his background/marriages etc then ditched it. The actual method (destabilising a noble from another region) doesn't bother me though. Without civil wars, this is probably the only way for your plots to really effect other areas. Might be worth warning Barret that it's not very easy to keep that sort of plot secret though. Plus Ser Corbray isn't the Lord as I understand it so we could always have the father curb those impulses somewhat or, rather drastically, send him to the Wall in shame

Do you want to take the lead on this one. Barret has been driving me crazy with requests and plans. I really could use a break from him.

I'm sorting this out, so it's just for info.
1) Ser Aaron Fossoway is to respectfully request that Dakken appoint him to a position of power in Volantis. If this does happen, please specify what the position is.
2) Once again, if Fossoway is to try and help Dakken by gaining political allies in Pentos, Tyrosh, Norvos, Lorath, Qohor and Pentos. If at all possible he is to meet with any of their representatives (representatives to Volantis), so that he can use his persuasion skill.
3) Lord Tyrell and the good name of the Reach are to be peacefully spread in Volantis
4) Marriages are to be arranged between some minor Reach nobles (perhaps some that are already with my men in Volantis) and Volantian princesses.
I'd also like to set up a counter-spy network in Volantis, or just help Dakken enforce his own (especially combatting Westerosi spies who aren't in my employ).
I've said yes to 3 & 4 and the spy network but I don't know enough about "Dakken" or what you've already said about Volantis to sort out the first two so I've stalled on those.

Dakken is the unofficial ruler of Volantis. I have completely forgotten his first name. He used Tyrell to become the ruler. And now they are partners. But if Tyrell ever asks Dakken to do anything that he does not want to Dakken says no. He is powerful enough that he does not need Tyrell anymore. But they are still allies. He is trying to have fossoway make contact with some one else who needs him more, but so far he has not.

I almost think Barret deserves his own subforum, we're being battered so much For info and reference only: Varyion Illantis, magister-elect of Pentos Vigga Hoat, the Qohorik, a wealthy merchant who has settled in Volantis Melio Notah, a Bearded Priest of Norvos Tobin Syweather, a trader from the Myrish state Iridan Adarys, a colourful leader of the "Forked Tongues", a Tyroshi mercenary band currently employed by Dakken There is also Balen Tyrol, a Braavosi envoy but he has not been seen in public for a few weeks now.

Also he is having Teria who took over Jast's criminal enterprises. He is having her expand into the free cities.

Hang on. He's handed his spy/agent network to an airhead Blackwood. She's not a criminal mastermind!! I forsee bad things happening to her in the cutthroat world of crime...

No thats my fault and I think I am going to change her name. Subconiouslly or something I named one of Jast's henchmen almost the same thing as Taria. And then I had her betray Jast and kill him.
Eunice... I am changing her name to Eunice. Eunice is running Jast's bands in Oldtown and Barret wants her to move into the free cities. Which of course already have those things and are far away.

Yeah, criminals have aliases all the time so as long as we tell Barret it'll be fine.
Shall we create a subboard for Barret in here? He's keeping us busy enough that we may need it.
I'm also getting slightly narked by all the various marriage proposals. Not just Barret but the Royces too. A marriage isn't a guarantee that that house will necessarily help them. It's usually just a political match for trade concessions etc.
Barret's pressurising me about Gideon Caron. He's created yet another beautiful young Tyrell woman called Kaera (I'm also getting tired of all these beautiful single young women being invented) and has said that he's offered his marriage proposal "months ago" before Gideon received Rhod's offer and set off for Gulltown.
I'm very tempted to throw a refusal back in his face but if Gideon marries a vale woman shortly after he'll cry foul. Personally I think shit like that happens in life anyway. Maybe Gideon just doesn't like the Tyrells.

Well Gideon is not marrying any one. He is just going to visit. So lets tell Barret that Caron said he is visiting his old friend Rhod and that he will consider a bride later.
But the girl Barret invented if far to low down the chain to be suitable to a Caron. Like a fourth cousin or something. No he needs a higher class bride then that.
I am thinking of having Bolton Kill off his Tyrell bride. To see if he gets any better offers.

Aaron Fossoway will try to convince Dakken to fake the assassination of a few Volantian lords. (Essentially framing Callen). I'd like to use Fossoway's persuasion skill as well, for this one. I believe it is Expert right now, but should probably be Master by now (with all the persuading I have him do on a daily basis, it's like years worth of swordtraining).
//////////////////
I'm still mulling this one over. I've no problem with Aaron trying to persuade Dakken or use his skill to do so. The only wrinkle I have with this is that by 'faking' assassinations, those lords will have to effectively go into hiding for months or years for it to work. So really it's as effective as a real assassination in terms of robbing Dakken of some of his important lords. Hmm
