"I will be there for him now. For once. We will live at the Eyrie, we will be a family, I will be a father. Lord Alyn was always there for me, I owe the same to Yohn," he says, voice full of resolve. "He is blessed, he has gifts that can only come from the Old Gods. But he also needs a good grounding. We will be able to give him that now, now that I will not be making war thousands of leagues from home or ruling a nation from King's Landing."

"Lord Alyn wasn't always there for Selwyn," Aranya snorted. "But you are the best man I know, and I know you'll be a good father to him. He is different, and needs you all the more because of it." She smiled. "The Eyrie. He will like being up there."

"He will like the view...until he feels trapped. We may spend more days at the Gates of the Moon," Rhodri says. "He will want to be able to explore -- you cannot explore much from the Seven Towers and the High Hall."

"Not unless you're a bird," Aranya said, her eyes sparkling. "It will be good for your family. How is little Breyn doing? Becca must be as tired as I am. Selyse drains me."

"She is exhausted. That's why she did not come out on this hunt, normally she likes the saddle. But Breyn has been a demanding babe, a colicky child. It is has been enough for her to attend all the parties during the Tournament, and now planning our departure..." Rhodri says. "But she is tough. That is why I wed her."

"It is hectic," Aranya agreed. "I understand why she stayed back. Last night I regretted attending all those parties. It takes a toll on you. I'm surprised you managed to ride out today, and even stay ahorse, Ruddy Rhodri," she said teasingly. "It's an impressive thing to drink yourself senseless and still come out on a hunt."

"I don't even remember returning to my tower. I think I was carried. Jonas tells me I was the first to lose of the four." Rhodri looks a little sheepish. "I thought I was a better drinker than that. The morning wind, though, was good for the hangover. Like a punch in the face."

"I bet there was a punch - from the inside. Your head must have been pounding. Ser Felwick won, I heard. But he apparently worked through his hangover with half the cider in the wagon." She glanced over at Ser Felwick with a grin. "Rhodri bested by his faithful bull!" OOC: I thought of a really awful, corny joke, but I can't have Aranya say it. "Rhodri bested by his bull - does that give him horns?" I know. I'll shut up now.

"The bull is better than the ox!" Felwick shouts, somewhat cryptically. He holds up his prodigious aurochs drinking horn in a toast and gulps down some ale -- apparently he had found the larder.

"Who's the ox?" Aranya asked, blinking.

Felwick wanders over towards Rhodri and Aranya and plonks his massive backside onto the end of the bench they are sitting on. Rhodri, on the far end, is lifted slightly off the ground. "Drox the Ox, the only man taller than me I've ever seen. But I outdrank the fucker."

Aranya sat on Felwick's lap, and Rhodri almost toppled off. She grinned at Rhodri.
"I can outdrink you," Aranya said to Felwick. "I've begun to put Selyse on a wetnurse anyway."

"Sister, you couldn't outdrink my brother. And he's ten." Felwick says, laughing at Aranya.

"Screw that," Aranya said. She grabbed his alehorn and drained it. "Nobody can outdrink me!"

"Keep drinking like that, sister, and I might marry you," Felwick says, guffawing. "Unless you fucked a giant when you went beyond the wall, you've never been with a man like me." He playfully slaps the side of her ass, though even when he's being playful it leaves quite the sting.
