The Great Castle of Storm's End is one of the marvels of Westeros, a smooth curtain wall a hundred feet high fashioned by one piece of rock in the Age of Legends by Durran, the first Storm King. They say the walls are worked with spells by the Children of the Forest. The tower
The drum tower stands above even the great walls, looking out over Shipbreaker Bay and the Narrow Sea It contains a granary, barracks and feast hall, as well as the Lord's quarters, and is where the Lord would do all his business.

Banners are raised above Storm's End, black banners bearing the Targaryen Dragon and black banners bearing the Dondarrion Lightening Bolt.

As soon as the Ladies Lilith and Elane have washed the dirt off from their long journey, they seek out Lord Rhodric in his chambers.
Both give an unusually low curtsey to their kinsmen. Lilith smiles when she rises. "Good news of your honors, kinsman, richly deserved."
She continues, "What news have you of the future? Need we prepare once again for battle?" She looked tired at the thought of battle. The sight of 50,000 corpses and the memory of the stench of death haunted her.

A few days later, Lilith, recovered somewhat after sleeping for continuously for most of it, decides to set out for Kings Landing. There would be no Battle of Casterly Rock any time soon. She takes the 50 Riding Dead, as her surviving Royce troops came to be known, and sets out for swiftly for the capital.
In honor of their service the Riding Dead are allowed to adapt the Runestone arms, they now bear dark shields with the Runestone studs and runes picked out in white. Georg Reeves, captain of the Riding Dead, leads the small company out of the Stormlands after Lady Lilith has bid a fond farewell to Lady Rhodri, his new spouse Lady Becca, her partner Lady Elane and of course Aranya and the clansmen.

Elane walked into Aranya's room and saw her sister dozing with Lorett and Culler. They woke up.
"They're supposed to be in the barracks," Elane said primly.
Aranya grinned. "That's true. Shall I join them there?"
"You can join them wherever you like. I'm taking myself off to the Vale this afternoon. I have business in Gulltown."
Lorett and Culler decided they'd ride home with her as an escort. They were eager to return to the Vale.
"Chella and Jach will want to join you to. So I'll be here with nothing to do? Bugger that. I'll ride to King's Landing, and on my own. Aunt Lilith will have need of me."

Aranya and Elane to their leave of Lord Rhodri and Lady Becca. The wildlings formed up around Elane and Aranya - they would all ride up the Kingsroad together, after which Aranya would enter King's Landing and the rest would continue north.

Chella was glad to be riding again. Hard to sleep in those bloody barracks. A real woman needed a tent over her head.

"Ah, my sweet cousin you depart to soon. The halls will be colder for your absence." Rhodri sees his kinfolk off. While he had great fondness for Elane, and even her unpredictable baseborn kin Aranya, their departure might help him appear less a foreigner to the native Stormlanders. It would be one less reminder to them of his connections to the Vale.

Rhodri does not miss the clanfolk. Far more than Elane Royce, they would be the true reminder to the Stormlords of Rhodri's outsider status, strange uncouth and barbaric, offensive to the stoic faithfulness of the locals. The only one he asks to stay behind is Jach, father to Rhodri's guards. Jach was always a good test in the training yard.
