"Hail to you, Lord Edmure. I am Robett Flint, heir to House Flint of Widow's Watch." The word heir still left Robett with a bad taste in his mouth.
"We are here to aid Lord Stark in his march to the south, have there been any news? Do you know what he plans?"

"Well met Robett, I have not heard much other from that Lord Roose means to march south in strength to aid the king. I arrived the day before last and was hunting in the wolfswood this morning so I have not had a chance to talk with our lord yet."

"Then I might join you when you go and speak with him then.
Robett patted his horse to calm it down, as it was getting a bit anxious by standing still.
"How fares your wife. I am sorry that no one from our house came to your wedding, but the accident that happened my brother made it impossible for us to travel. Will you ride with us to the camp, Lord Karstark?"

"I would be honored to join you to camp Robett, come to the great hall tonight and we can enjoy this deer together." Said Edmure as he patted the buck strapped across the back of his horse."

"You can count me in, it's been a while since I had a piece of deer meat in my stomach, but first I must get my men settled in, so we should continue on our way. Come, ride with me and you can tell me all about how you felled the deer."
Robett liked Lord Karstark, he seemed to be a good man. He then urged his horse to move, and the men behind him did likewise.

One of the tiny crannogmen come north with Olander Reed was leaning against the frost covered castle wall. His hair was a dark like black mud that matched his leathers, and was tied behind his head in a tail.
"If y'ain't heard," he said as Edmure and Robbet entered, jerking his thumb towards a set of massive doors, "Lord Stark is in the Great Hall t'with Master Reed."

Edmure looked down at the small crannogman and nodded curtly to him. edmure deftly dismounted his horse and called over to one of the stable boys "Tell the cook that I have some deer for tonight!"
Edmure then walked across the courtyard and in to the warm greathall of Winterfell.

Roose considered Olander's words for a second, "She fairs well enough, and if it all goes well then there will soon be more than one Stark in the world."
Roose looked up as Edmure entered. The boy that had often been the source of more than a few frustrations had grown as of late, and the first sign of hair on his face was beginning to show.

Edmure knelt before Roose Stark "My lord Stark the spears of Karhold are at you command."

Olander adopted a thin-lipped smile as Edmure entered. "Lord Cousin-in-Law, it is good to see you. I have heard only good things of you from Lady Pypar's letters."

Edmure raised himself from the floor "Thank you cousin it has been a wonderful time I truly love Pypar. Now on to the invasion has there been anymore news this morning?"

"I am very pleased to hear that, Lord Edmure," Olander said, the smile lingering on his lips like a shadow, "I wish the best for the two of you, and for your House."
Before Olander could turn back to Roose and open his mouth, a very flush-faced crannogman ran into the hall. "M-... mas-..." he wheezed, trying to catch his breath. "Master Reed! We got word from t'hand o'yer lady sister! Coldiron ain't takin' up Lord Stark's offer, an' t'ironmen took Seaguard! That Harlaw named 'imself King and sails with t'Basilisk!"

Edmure whips round at the news from the crannogman "The Ironborn have betrayed the king, this just gets worse and worse."
turning back to Roose and Olander "My lords we must aid the Riverlanders against the invaders, we have to send our forces to Seaguard as soon as possible."

If the news of Coldiron had been a surprise to Olander, he did not show it. At word of Seaguard, however, the slim crannogman's brow crooked up.
"With the ironmen on the side of the enemy, we are at an even greater risk from attack from the Stoney Shore. A force must be kept in the North to guard our lands, my lords."

"If we do nothing men will call us cravens, cowards, and traitors. I agree with keeping men in the north but we must ride south in strength."
