The Hand's encampment is heavily guarded. If any of the armed warriors comes too close or reveal themselves, a sentry will ask their business.

Erik hears the fighting outside and peers out of the tent.
"What the fuck is going on out there?" He asks Seth.

Guards rush to the sound of the fighting. The mercenaries are easily beaten back, though none can be taken hostage. The guards gather up the fallen men's bodies and equipment for closer examination.

Upon returning to his encampment, a letter is hurriedly delivered to the Lord Hand. Horas reads it, his expression unchanging, then tosses it into the hearth.

The Young Kraken enters the encampment, making his way to Horas’s tent. He waits for permission to enter.

Erik sits down in his quarters after being led away from the first part of the trial. He could still hear Felryn yelling at Lyas outside.
"Well, that could have gone better." He mutters.

Erik approaches one of the guards watching him, and asks, "I don't suppose you could find someone for me, or at least send someone to do it? He may go by Mortimer...stood by the back at the trial, a full beard, wore his hood up. Laughs like a child, talks like a damn bard."

A short time later, a smiling Herman approached the tent, asking to see the former Pyke. After he was allowed entrance he grinned wider.
"Ah, Erik. Nice to see you." He appeared unfazed by Erik's current predicament.
