Breck nodded, though it seemed very subtle given the weight of his helm. "Did you not ride and fight in Dorne?"

"No Ser, I've... Always been a little better with a quill than a sword, you could say." Byren said, suddenly embarrassed, being surrounded by knights and warriors.

[Imry Willfyre]

Byren seemed to show a pattern of being easily embarrassed, and Breck smiled, "No need to feel shy about that. The quill is often a mightier weapon. I would have died a thousand more times if not for the quill, than the number I'd have died if not for the sword."

"Thank you, M'Lord." Byren said, now reassured in his ways. He cleared his throat, changing the subject. "I was wondering... Have we any information about these invaders? How they are armed, how well they fight, their tactics, anything?" Byren asked inquisitively, his shyness forgotten in the moment.

[Imry Willfyre]

"They fly a green basilisk on black. That's all I've been informed of...hopefully they have no ungodly creatures either. I'd hate to fight a real basilisk." He laughed even though he was completely serious.

Byren frowned, ignoring what he took to be a jest. "It is a shame we don't have more information. Do we have any outriders that can be sent out to gather information on them before we get to Deep Den?"

[Imry Willfyre]

"By the time we reach Deep Den it will either fly House Lydden's colors or the colors of fire. I don't intend on wasting any lives however-- let that be known."

Byren nodded, although in truth he was puzzled at the Lord's response. Did he mean he didn't want to send outriders to scout? He put the thought aside either way.

"What will we do if we find the castle razed? Or if it still stands, what shall we do?" Byren asked his liege lord.

[Imry Willfyre]

"Our outriders will send us word on the castle's status. I hope that answers the question you just asked and the one I left unanswered."

Byren nodded, he still left my last two questions unanswered, oh well. "I beg my leave, Lord Dondarrion." He said bowing again, as he turned his horse around to ride back to his men.

[Tallahar]

Callen looked up at the Lord Dondarrion, "Is there anything I can do MiLord?"

Breck thought for a moment and then shook his head, "Nothing now, Callen. Are you nervous to fight?"

[Tallahar]

"Yes. But father told me that everyone is nervous."
