In an unprecedented move Lord Baldwin Lannister has decided to allow women to compete in the Archery Contest. The women heroes of Casterly Rock are subject of some of most noble stories. It is in recognition for their noble work, that we have made the change.
The rules are such; there will be three rounds. The first round will consist of five shots. The ten best archers will advance to the next round. The second round will also consist of five shots. The two best archers will advance to the the final round. The final round will consist of ten shots. And the winner will be given the Golden Arrow prize.
If you wish to join the contest let your presence be known.

A herald walks the grounds yelling, "The Archery contest is soon to begin. Last call for any entries. Last Call!!"
The buzz around Casterly Rock is whether any Dornish, Riverlanders or Northeners will enter.

The field and targets are prepared and placed around a large field. The are split into several locations each with its own pair of judges.
Behind the archer's backs raised seating is brought in and set up. Tables are soon put together and stocked with food and drink. Slowly competitors and observers trickle out to the event.
Two heralds play loudly on horns summoning all to the Archery Contest.

OOC: Out of curiousity, in the timeline of the tourney, is the archery contest happening before or after the Spicer-Rindwynd duel?

Lady Elane and her ladies are escorted to the grounds. Elane wishes Janna and Nymella good luck, and sits with Lady Olene Hersy and Lady Lilith. Ser Robert Royce wishes the Redfort brothers good luck.
After being taken aside by Ser Giles Grandison, a contrite Garrett Redfort hurries up to Lord Rhodri, who gives him a cold look. Pushing back his chestnut locks , Garrett blushes and says, "Forgive me, my lord, I didn't get the message to come to your quarters last night. I was with, er..." he glances at Nymella Waynwood who stands with her bow and quiver. She winks at him. "With some girls. Ladies, I mean. And then I went to Lannisport with my brothers. I am truly sorry, my lord. If only I had waited a little while longer, I would have gotten your message."

"Well, did you make merry in Lannisport? I have always heard the praises of that city, but the only time I've been there was right after the sacking by Hightower. Did you find adventure, lad?" Rhodri is thumbing his bowstring, getting comfortable for the contest.

OOC: Sorry, I wasn't at the computer.
IC: "Quite an adventure," Garrett said wryly. "It's a lively city, my lord, with all sorts of people." He squinted at the archers. "I saw some of these men drunk last night. Some of the women too. I think you'll find your arrow hits its mark more frequently than theirs, my lord."
