Despite the ongoing war, people in the streets of Casterly Rock can't help but celebrate and host parties all over the city. Some especially big ones in a close proximity have created a central point for most "new year's" partiers.

Being stuck with a gaggle of Valyrian lords and ladies was not Lady Lilith Royce's idea of a good New Year's celebration. But they were getting very crabby locked up inside of Casterly Rock while the seige of Lannisport continued.
So she commandered the grand ballroom, the musicians who had played for the wedding, every drop of single malt in the castle, taught the cooks to make New Year's cakes and told the Valyrian lordlings that they were extremely lucky to be experiencing a real Westeros New Year's celebration at such a historic castle as Casterly.
She did all of this in full knowledge that Lord Baldwin would probably be spitting serpent's teeth at her usurptation of internal manpower, but she figured she was doing him a favor. Without activity, the lordlings she had on hand would rebel out of sheer boredom. The last thing Lannister-Targaryen-Royce relations needed was internal terrorist activity.
She let all know of the festivities, put on a very low cut dress and hoped that she would survive the night.

Selwyn Stone notices Lilith's preparation, and moreover her outfit, and comments, "You know, our kinship is quite distant."

"Hullo, you darling, gorgeous boy," answers Lilith, grinning broadly and giving him a very warm hug indeed. "Although I am extremely tempted to keep you for myself, I call upon your innate honor to keep some of my Valyrians amused. I have two very lovely Valyrian maids, Lady Illyria and Lady Daphne, who I think would be most impressed to have a Royce kinsman and knight."
She brought Ser Selwyn over and introduced him to two very pretty young women, who admitted they were sisters in halting Common Tongue and then started babbling whole heartedly when he started remembering his admittedly not brilliant Braavosi.
Maybe, just maybe, this evening wasn't going to be such an utter disaster after all.

Elane entered the ballroom with Lord Breyn. "Oh my, look at Auntie," Elane said. "She's looking better than ever tonight, isn't she? You'd never think a battle is going on. Come on Breyn, let's go over and say hello."

Royce's Remember. Made them ever so useful guests at such an occasion.
"Hullo, darlings," she greeted them warmly. "Breyn, have you been introduced to the gorgeous Daena yet? She's over there by her very intellectual cousin. Elane, I think he would just adore you."

Various Lannister hangers on and other guests trapped by the siege of Lannisport started to wander in, the band began to have a bop in its beat, and everyone started mingling nicely. The Valyrians continued conversations they began the other day and Lilith translated when necessary and kept the spirits flowing.

Lord Baldwin strides into the Ballroom being flanked on either side by four of Ser Bardwyn's guardsmen. Making a single motion the music stops, and shortly after that the chatter. Lord Lannister shouts in his most commanding voice, "I am sorry for the inconvenience of the blockade, but it is for your own safety. Also it is aiding my search for my missing son. If any has any information about his disappearance they would be wise to tell me now. If I find anyone involved in that I will spend all my considerable power to crush them, and theirs, completely."
Baldwin's eyes stare accusingly at everyone he can see.

Lord Baldwin had to be the dreariest guest at any party. Such a pity he was the host of this one. It was definitely time to make an asset out of a sow's ear.
"Bravo, brave lord" she cried. Her beloved Royce kinsmen and some of the more drunken Valyrians joined her in her hearty welcome. "We salute your brave battles against our visicious foes. All power to your search for the husband of our lovely Lady Sara."
With this she fell into a deep curtsy, carefully designed to show off every inch of her lovely bosom.

Lord Baldwin turns his eyes to Lilith. "I thank you for your words of support, Lilian. Are you not cold in that gown, feel free to excuse yourself to find a shawl." Still standing with his men at attention he studies every man, woman and child in the ballroom.

He was such a fool, she thought, with just a taste of honey he could get any information he wanted, and yet here he was intimidating into silence the very people he needed to get Allard back. And they were god damn Targs with a dragon no less.
She stood tall and translated his brusque words into eloquent High Valyrian, asking all the guests when they had last seen the son of the magnificent Lord Baldwin.
She translated their responses.
"My lord, Lady Agatha was in the outer chamber after the bedding ceremony, she seems to be the last one to have seen Allard."

Nodding, his eyes moved from Lilith to Lady Agatha. "Would you mind asking her to step outside with us for a minute I have a few more questions to ask her." He walks through a servant door into a pantry, motioning for his guards to stay outside.

"Midnight is soon" she announced in Common and High Valyrian to the guests, remember that it is a tradition to kiss on the stroke of the new year."
With that, she explained to Lady Agatha that m'lord Baldwin wished to ask her questions about her son, and they followed him into the pantry.
"What would you like to ask Lady Agatha, m'lord?"

"How much of our language does she speak?" Baldwin asks staring at the Valyrian women.

"As an older lady of the court, she speaks very little beyond opening courtesies and farewells. Even her Braavosi Valyrian is rather rusty. She says she was one of the women who stayed in the chamber outside the wedding chamber until dawn. They seemed to make the typical noises couples do then fell quiet. Allard left about dawn. He seemed to be going somewhere specific as he was in a hurry."
