"Basswood is the easiest to work with, but I have always favored maple."

Rose nodded, her eyes glazing over, and her mind roaming back to better days, like that time she fell from her mount and broke her leg. She looked at the ground, and wondered if that was a price worth paying to get out of this conversation. She decided not yet.

"I could make you a figurine out of willow bark, if it would please Your Grace." he offered, noting her disinterest. "I know you do not get to enjoy the Kingswood as often as you wish and it might serve to have a token from there as some solace during days in your stone prison."
