A look of recognition passed over Teirney's face and she grinned, suddenly, offering him her hand. "I do believe we have met before. It was the Remembrance Feast for King Aedon, although I was only this high at that time--" She referenced her knee-"and you looked rather different yourself."
He is actually a handsome fellow--Nym has not done badly here at all! Perhaps she does have some of her sister's tricks up her sleeves.
"You are far too kind." She feigned a sweet blush, and passed a look to Nym to engage her in the conversation. "Nym and I have always wanted to see more the North--isn't that true, dear? Although I doubt we are particularly well-suited to the cold."

A servant took the basket and showed it to Lyssandra who seemed pleased. "Thank you..Lady Royce is it? I do not think I have ever spoke to anyone from the Vale." "Lady Jennalynn Royce, Lady Martell. I'm Lord Royce's niece, unfortunately he has been struck by illness and regrets that he can't attend the parties here in King's Landing. Let us remedy that then." she said with a smile. "May I say that I was a bit surprised by the hour that you have decided to host this event, most host feasts much earlier in the evening, but it's always interesting to try new ways." Lyssandra looked around the room and noticed Edric and two women talking, she frowned then turn her attention back to the Royce representative. "Well, I am sorry to hear of your Lord's illness." One less lord to attend her party did not bother her one bit. "This is the time that I am most awake, just like any other Dornishman and the time that our household is the busiest. I can understand that the time would be a shock, but, as I have told others, I wanted to keep things like they are in Dorne rather than appease the popular belief of how the Dornish live."

"That was a splendid idea, Lady Lyssandra, it will stand out against the other parties for that reason alone. So how do you like King's Landing so far? I am sure that you are missing Dorne a lot by being here." Jennalynn said with another small smile. "I've always secretly dreamed of seeing Sunspear and the Sand Dunes of Dorne, it has always sounded so magical to me when I have heard of it."

"I never meant for this gathering to stand out," she said grumpily. "Sunspear is a good city, I wish to return there as soon as possible. Kings Landing is not for me at all." To Lyssandra there was no magic to Dorne, only the harsh realities of the heat and dryness. "I am not sure how magical they are, but they can look nice at certain times of day."

Jennalynn gave Lyssandra an apologetic look as she noticed that she might have offended the princess of Dorne.
"I am sorry if I offended you, that was not my intention." she said and sighed slightly.

"I am not offended at all. I have commanded men in battle. I have heard and seen some of the nastiest things imaginable." She shrugged, "You are welcome in Dorne whenever you like."

Jennalynn seemed to relax a bit when she was told that she had not offended the princess.
"That would be a dream come true, Lady Lyssandra, though I am not sure that my duty to the Queen will allow me any travels in the coming months, but who knows, maybe the Seven have other plans for me and I'll get to travel to Sunspear. That is another reason that Dorne seems so magical, the custom of letting women lead houses even though there are younger sons as well as leading men into battle. Not that I would like to do the latter, but the promise of having that power is intriguing."

There had been many children following him around at the feast, including Elyssa, which he had found rather annoying at the time. "The northern weather is not for everyone, that is true. You might benefit from putting on more clothes," he added matter-of-factly and looked at Nym in case she had any input.

There is still resistance to women in power, that we can't make up our minds our think like a man. Well, I have left enough dead men in my wake to prove that I am as good as any man with a sword and think as well as a Lord. What I know to be true: work hard at what you desire." She thought of the men that felt uncomfortable in her presence simply because she lacked an apendage between her legs and laughed in her mind. They were weak fools.

"I would rather visit the Reach or Dorne; somewhere where I am not like to freeze to death."

He has some spice to him, which was shocking for a Stark, who were categorically dreary and boring. What kind of words were “Winter is coming” anyways? Of course it was coming, eventually—was it really necessary to state the obvious? “Forgive me, Edric—I have misspoken. My sister has always found it contrary to her nature to dress in more clothes than she is accustomed. She would be better suited to warmer climes, it’s true.” She smiled at Nym innocuously. “I, however, would still love to see the North. It seems so wild and mysterious.”

He was caught by surprise by the kiss, but he did return it as tender as it was between them. Evan looked at her and smiled, a sheepish chlid like grin, as he sat back looking at her. "I will see you tomorrow, my lady Rhysling." He then kissed her hand as a gentleman. Doreah snuck up behind Evan, grabbing his arm suddenly with a laugh. “Brother, it seems you are enjoying this party far than anyone intended.” In a mischievous whisper, she added, “The lady is truly quite pretty—I see you still have your way with the women. This must be a gift of our family.”

Evan watched Lady Rhysling leave, sighing deeply,"Yes she is quite beautiful, but she is from the Reach.. It maybe something there or maybe not, who's to say." He then turned and hugged her, kissing her cheek. "I spoke with my niece, Nym", he chuckled,"She seems to be a handful from what I can tell."

I suppose you will not be visiting us any time soon, seeing as there will be a tourney at Hightower? And there is of course the visit to your Dornish relatives to consider." He smiled a little. "Nymeria told me about that."

Jennalynn nodded, not entirely sure that she found the prospect of killing men to prove your own worth was something that she agreed with or understood. "Yes, I know what you mean that you should work hard at what you desire, though I have not been forced to do anything such as you have, Lady Lyssandra. There are those in court that thinks that because of their family name that they should gain favors just because of who there parents are" she said and glanced over at Tierney Lannister. "Your ancestors and blood matter, but it's your actions that should define which direction life takes you."
