Jennalynn Royce walked elegantly up to the Kingsguard that stood outside the chamber door. She had dressed in a fine silk gown of aquamarine color with embroidered white roses that she had bought while she had been out shopping with Isabel Hightower several weeks ago. She had been looking for a reason to wear it and thought that this was a perfect opportunity to show it off and she hoped that the Princess liked it.
"Is the princess available for visits?" she asked the Kingsguard.

The Lord Commander was on duty, standing watch outside Princess Rose's rooms.
"The Princess is not currently seeing anyone, my lady," Ser Rickon answered, "But I will let her know that you called. Is there a message you would like given to Her Grace?"

Jennalynn was a bit disappointed when she was told that the princess were unavailable, so she stood quiet for some time, fidgeting on a piece of lace at the end of her sleeves.
"Only that her friend Jennalynn Royce wished to visit her and that I am sorry for all that has happened to her family and that I'd like to meet her for a cup of tea at a time that is appropriate to her" she finally said, adding a smile toward the Lord Commander at the end.

"I will be sure to tell her. I'm sure she will appreciate your concern."

Edric arrived a couple days before the coronation to give the queen her coronation present as it was something that could not have been presented in a room filled with nobles. He wore a nice green doublet for the occasion, in addition to his usual blacks, and there was a small covered basket under his arm. "Could you tell the queen Edric Stark would like a word?" he asked the Kingsguard currently on duty.

Edric hesitated for a moment before stepping forward, but figured she would not have allowed him in, had she been terribly busy. "Good book?" he inquired, setting the basket down on one of the tables in the room. "Must be an escape as good as any. Did you get into trouble the other day?"

Rose smiled, and stood up slowly, "No... I did not. A perk of being queen to be."

Edric found that slightly peculiar, but shrugged it off. "You seem more content with the idea now," he said, returning her smile. "I know you will be showered with gold, jewelry and other generic presents at your coronation, so I thought I would hand this one over now." He opened the basket and thought for a moment, looking at what was inside. "I suppose this is from me rather than my house and my lord brother. Don't fret though, I am sure I will find something for your coronation pile as well."
From the basket he pulled a small pup with a thick coat of red and white, her paws adorably chubby. "She is of one of those northern dogs that resemble wolves as they get older. The closest thing to a direwolf I could do on such short notice," he said, approaching Rose and handing the little dog over.

Rose's mouth fell open and she scooped the dog from the northman's hands. She kissed it and talked to the pup, "Oh my little pretty. I love you so much."

Unable to help himself, Edric smiled at the sight. "I think she likes you, too. And now you will have something to remember me by once I return to Winterfell."

"Are you not attending the Tournament in Oldtown?" She asked as she played with the pup.

"Well, I do not joust.." said Edric almost regretfully, even though he did not hold jousting in high regard. "I would not really have a reason to, I suppose."

Rose looked up at him, and then back down, "That is too bad.. but I understand. I mean if there is no reason."
