A darkly lit tavern that doesn't scream out anything in particular, most people would barely even notice it, likely to close down soon. The sign outside is of a deer, which confused those who thought about it, because it was never called anything but The Black Dog.
It bigger than it looks on the inside, and narrow, going back a long way, the bar going down the whole length of it.

After a small while searching for the most non-descript, unassuming tavern a reasonable distance from his house, Mychel walked into the Black Dog, and ordered a pint of ale, daring the bartender to say anything with his glare, and settling on a stool to drink the evening away.

Gwayne entered just afterwards. He strode forward and ordered a drink.
"You look young to be out alone," he remarked to Mychel. "Run away from your master at arms?" He asked with a grin.

"You look old to be coming up to young men," Mychel retorted, not looking round at the person for the moment, "what makes you think I have a master at arms?"

"Why wouldn't you?" Gwayne countered. "Most boys do. My squire is about your age. You have the look of a runaway squire."
He frowned. "Perhaps I had more ale than I thought in the last tavern. You look rather like a girl, you know."

Mychel pretended to look aghast and his hand flew to his face, "I never noticed, what will my mother say?" He asked, and took another drink, "I came to King's Landing without my Knight, as he is taken ill. I came with my family instead, to see the capital." Mychel explained after a while and looked around to the man who had approached him.
"What gave me away as being high born?" he asked, gesturing to his simple clothing.

"You're not dirty enough," Gwayne said, grinning. "The common folk most often have dirt ingrained into their skin. And their men are usually half-starved or muscled from hours of work. I've never seen a peasant who looks like you."

"I doubt you have seen many high born squires who look like me either," he said, looking at the other man and raising an eyebrow, "would you like to sit down?"

"I would." Gwayne seated himself. "Gods, put you in a dress and you could well pass for your own twin sister." He drank a few mouthfuls of ale. "Have you ever tried it?"

Edric stepped into the establishment, deeming it rubbish enough to be let in with his wolf in tow. They had been roaming the city, lost track of time and only now realised that it was dinner time. In addition to Havoc, Edric had with him a Stark guard, courtesy of his brother Eirek. He walked over to the long bar. "An ale, please. Do you serve food?" he asked the person behind the counter, blissfully unaware of the meal quality at this place.

Mychel didn't look very impressed at that remark, but smiled slightly, "No, I have not, but the servants often got me confused with my younger sister. She only wishes she was as pretty as I am." though it was a joke, it was delivered without much humour. "Have you ever tried dressing up as a woman?"
as he finished speaking he looked round at the new patron, "If it isn't the best sword in the north."

Having got an affirmative response from the tavern wench, Edric gave her a few coins and waited for his drink. He did not realise that he was spoken to and looked around the place thoughtfully before noticing a somewhat familiar face. "Oh. Greetings," he said. "I am surprised to see people of nobility here, especially someone like you." If he was truly surprised, it did not show.

"I only dressed as a girl once," Gwayne said. "Myself and the other squires were larking about at Horn Hill with a few ales, so we dressed as women and went to the local tavern. Lord Tarly whipped us for it after, but it was bloody good fun at the time."
He glanced up at the remark about the northerner. His squire, Torrhen, was northern after yeah.

Edric raised an eyebrow, having the weirdest feeling about this tavern now that he'd just heard the older boy's confession. He thanked the woman for the ale and sipped from it.

"Why don't you come and join us Stark, we need to complete the triangle, we have a man who looks like a woman, a man who dresses like a woman, now we just need a man who acts like one, and we are set."
Mychel said to edric with a small smile, before looking round to Gwayne again.
"It may be bloody good fun for you, but I imagine it was fairly obvious you were just having a good time. Which I suppose may be for the best, at least if I did it now, I wouldn't get ridiculed for it right away. If you squired at Hornhill, then you are from the reach."
