The Chipped Tooth Inn is a seedy, run-down place located well away from Aegon's High Hill. It's the sort of tavern a man goes to for a cheap drink, a cheap whore, or to take a cheap shot at a man who looks at you sideways. No self-respecting noble would show their face here.
It is also the local stomping ground of the Fellowship of the Flagon, a loose group of knights who have accrued a small amount of infamy. Little better than a band of robber knights, Fellowship members knight each other in a mockery of true chivalry. They engage in mercenary work, for which they have a reputation for cruelty, and are said to work for smugglers and other shady figures during lulls between wars.
Several of the Fellows are in residence tonight. Ser Gustav "Goose" Hunter is the oldest and highest born, but so dim that he does little more than apply his muscle to the task at hand and drink to stave off his headaches. The cruelly handsome Ser Matthos Keath wears the thief's brand on his right hand as though it was a mark of pride. Ser Crawley, called the Crawfish Knight, looks innocent enough with his young and open face, but is busy taking bets on a variety of subjects legal and illegal.

A man sat playing cards in one of the corners. He had a full flagon of dark ale and a dark look to match as he flipped the cards over in his solitary game.

Clayton Hawkins entered the run-down establishment, a bit frustrated over the lack of progress with his reasons for being in King's Landing, but mostly he was thirsty for some ale and maybe some female companionship.
He let his eyes scan over the evening's clientele, before he headed for the barkeep.
"A mug of your better ale, not that watered-out shit I'm certain you serve usually."

He was passed the same dark ale that a few of the others in the room seemed to be enjoying, thick enough to chew.

A man sat playing cards in one of the corners. He had a full flagon of dark ale and a dark look to match as he flipped the cards over in his solitary game. After the barkeep had slapped the mug of ale before him, Clayton headed over to the table of the card-playing man, his eye having catched the man earlier since Clayton knew where there were cards there was a opportunity to earn some coin. "Is this seat taken, good ser?" he asked as he reached the table.

"Only if you do." The man grunted in reply.

"Splendidly, Hawkins my name." the young valeman said with a grin on his face as he took his seat.
"I can't help but see that you have cards in front of you, care to make a friendly wager and play a game?"

"A friendly wager?" The man asked, interestedly. "BUt that would imply that we were friends, or at least becoming so."

"Fine, a wager then" Clayton said, before taking his first taste of the inn's dark ale.

"Say what you want to wager." The man said, already dealing the cards in the form of a popular game.

Clayton smiled and removed a two silver stags from his coin-purse. He placed them on the table and leaned forward and spoke in a lower voice.
"These and if I win, a piece of information from you or a name to someone who knows a little about anything and everything." he said and looked in the man straightly in the eyes.

The mans eyes glittered and he nodded
"That is agreeable."

Clayton nodded to the man.
"Start dealing out the cards, and know that I do not look kindly upon cheating, so don't even think about it."

"For someone that is new to the city, you do not know how to speak." The man said.

Clayton shrugged and looked hard at the man before him.
"Who's to say that I'm new to town, besides I speak how the fuck I want and I just wanted to tell you the rules of the game. I've been in many inns and taverns just like this, so don't think I'm new to the workings of places like this. And stop looking so offended, there is nothing to feel offended by, friend.."
