Clayton nodded and waited for the man to deal the cards once more.

He was soon dealt and the man checked his cards.
"So what is a supposed vale boy doing in the city... I thought your lot disliked enclosed spaces."

Clayton checked his cards too, making some re-arrangements, before answering.
"Like I said earlier, I was raised in Gulltown; which is nothing like this stinking place, but I've never been much of a country-man myself, I like the feel and noise of the city."

Clayton grinned and turned his cards, without exchanging any.
"You are so right, friend. There is less entertainment as well" he said and glanced over at one of the serving wenches that passed.

The man just chuckled.
"Less of a profit to make too." He said. "Things are a much better price in the city."

"Well, the comment earlier about me being new was quite telling." Clayton answered with a shrug. "Are you making any changes or are you ready to show me your cards. Even if I am enjoying our time together, I have other places to be, so if you can hurry up I would appreciate it."

The man shrugged and showed the cards. He had a better hand this time round.

Clayton grunted and tossed the cards to the man.
"Looks like I lost this one, so we are at an even now. Let us see who the Father will judge the winner."

The man reshuffled, dealt and looked at his cards.

Clayton picked up his cards, not looking at them straight away.
"So before we know who wins, please tell me your name."
