Saxon shook his hand vigorously. "Have a good day Ser."

/// Ten years later, Ser Oswyn returned to Lord Saxon's office a different man. The hardships of the world over the decade had taken the wide-eyed naivety of a young knight and tempered it into steel. He still bore scars from his last visit to the city, a jagged line above his brow from where it had been split and two crooked fingers on his right hand that had never healed quite straight. In addition to those, numerous skirmishes in the Marches and fighting pirates in the Stepstones had left marks of their own upon his body and mind.

"Ser Oswyn, It is a pleasure to see you again," he said. Saxon showed only a slight sign of any aging at all, minor crows feet in the corners of his eyes, otherwise his appearance could have been identical down to the placement of every button on his doublet.
"And how do you do?"

"Better since out last meeting." Oswyn replied evenly, taking a seat.
"I came to over my gratitude for the service you provided the last time I was here. Word reached me that the men responsible for my assault were executed. I would have come personally sooner had responsibilities in the Stormlands not demanded my attention." he explained, in a diplomatic tone. "However, the orchestrator of the event remain unidentified. Have I not kept my end of the accord? You are no doubt aware of my hand promised to the young Amelia Lannister."

"Yes indeed it is," Saxon agreed, "That was a most troubling bit of news. I was able to get a description of the employer from the thugs before they were put to death, but alas my efforts to find the man proved for naught. I am much chagrined, it does not normally happen. I was left with a few suspicions, but they did not pan out."

"It must have been a vague description." Oswyn allowed, a slight twitch in his crooked fingers the only outward sign of his disappointment. "I am sure you did all that you could."
"I imagine your trade has flourished in the past decade."

"It was quite nondescript. Nonetheless, I am most disappointed I could not help you. Please, will you allow me to make it up to you?" Cave asked, "I might know something you will find of interest."

"How could I turn down such a generous offer?" Oswyn asked rhetorically. "It is refreshing to see that even in the business of shadows and whispers there is still a semblance of honor in some circles."

"It may interest you to know ser that the Master of ships, on this new small council, he is one of Lord Tyrell's creatures. Given that the war for the Stepstones will no doubt call for ships, mayhaps you may make some use of that knowledge." Saxon bowed his head. "I hope my good name is restored."

Oswyn couldn't help thinking that it was hardly a revelation that a Serry as Master of Ships would have at least some loyalty to Lord Tyrell. Nonetheless, he accepted the information with a grateful smile.
"Your good name was hardly in jeopardy." the Baratheon heir replied. "Though I don't suppose you have heard any whispers regarding who His Grace will choose to fill the remaining vacancies on his Small Council?"

"Like the master of whisperers?" Saxon replied with a smile.

"Actually, I was more concerned with the master of laws." he replied, in a light yet tactful manner.

"There I don't know, I'm afraid. I know the Master of Whisperers is one of Thatcher's." He said with a shrug. "Use that how you will. And my apologies again for not being able to be more helpful."
