"Oh wow..." Aurane managed. Behind the trees was a small meadow, with flowers of many colours sprouting from the ground. At the center of the meadow was a small pond, with lilypads atop and fish popping up to eat dragonflies and other insects. Aurane grinned. "This must be some sort of secret spot that only the King knows about!" Doreah's dark eyes were wide with disbelief, and she ran up to the pond's edge immediately, leaning down to peer at the sleek fish that reared their heads from the waater's meniscus. "It's beautiful!" she cried, waving Aurane over. "It's so green and alive! We're like Kings and Queens right now! This is where they lay out their fruit and wine, and they sit right here and watch the water." She plopped down to demonstrate.

Adrien joined her, looking at the flowers again. She sat beside Lyssa,"That's because, there is no sand here, just pretty flowers.." She then smirked at the Septa,"...And spiders." She kept touching the toes of her little shoes together, looking at them. "I wish my father could see this, but he is busy..." She then frowned, joining Lyssa in the grass pulling,"As usual..." "I like home better but this is fun." Lyssandra looked at Adrien, "They're always busy huh, so stupid, they should play games for fun more".

Aurane said, sitting down next to Doreah, a little too close by accident. "Uh... well, what do we do now that were are here? I guess we can't leave for a while because we are hiding."

Doreah ducked her head and laughed at him under her long, smokey lashes, though it was also an excuse to hide the panic that flashed through her eyes as Aurane joined her on the ground. She sifted ever so slightly over, pretending to fix the pathetic state of her skirts, and turned her gaze to him fully. He was truly pretty though, with his sunny blonde hair that fell into such startlingly green eyes. And they seemed so earnest when they regarded her--it was almost unsettling.
"What is it like, liking in Casterly Rock? Do you truly have tame lions?"

"We have a few!" Aurane said, thinking of the poor, haggard creatures that were in the cells below the keep. They were far from majestic. "Our castle is very big and even I haven't seen all of it! But it is lovely!" He liked looking at her face; she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, and though that wasn't many it did not matter. "I... what is Dorne like? The books I read said it was mostly just a hot desert."

"I hope I can see one someday--I have always wanted a lion, but they wouldn't let me. Lions are so beautiful, are they not?" She paused for a moment, thinking of the best way to describe her homeland to somebody like Aurane Lannister.
"It is much more than a desert," she said quietly as a her expression took on a faraway cast. "It is beautiful and fierce. You have to see the Water Gardens! And the Tower of the Sun! You would love Sunspear, if you could see it."

"I really want to see Dorne; it sounds like a land of adventure!" Aurane replied enthusiastically. "At Casterly Rock we have a big painting of the Red Mountains of Dorne and it looks so amazing!" He grinned broadly. "I imagine dragons flying over the mountains!" He felt himself inch a little closer to her, her scent in the air. She smelled like what he imagined desert roses to smell like.

"It is," she agreed judiciously. "But...I wouldn't mind seeing Casterly Rock. Or exploring King's Landing. I love Sunspear, and Mother, and Carmesi, and Lyssa, but I suppose it can be a bit tedious at times." She wrinkled her nose as if it pained her to admit it.
"It's my first time here and I do like it so far--there are so many lords and ladies and knights! Isn't it exciting?" She could feel him move closer and her face grew hot, but she fought the urge to reflexively lean away from him. His eyes were so green. She didn't think she had seen eyes like that before.
"Your mother, err, Lady Lannister seemed nice," she managed to get out.

She nodded slowly, her face drawn into a pouty little frown,"And leaves us with Septa." Adrien laid back in the soft grass, looking at the sky,"And she's not fun."

"You should come visit!" Aurane said spontaneously, not really thinking about the consequences.
"Oh, mother... yes, she is a nice woman but sometimes... sometimes I don't think she loves me..." He looked at the water and imagined being a fish. Then he imagined being a knight riding a fish. That cheered him up.
He rose and stood next to the water, looking down at his reflection. "Do you have any rivers in Dorne?"

"I, uh, am not sure that Lady Lannister would approve, Aurane." She thought back to their first meeting and winced. Had she really needed to say all those things to her? For once couldn't she just have held her tongue? Mother had always said she was too impulsive, but she was trying, truly.
Doreah's gaze followed Aurane quizzically. "Why would you say that, Aurane?"

"I don't know..." He replied, turning back to look at Doreah. Everytime he looked at her it was like seeing her for the first time. He felt like his brain and his heart had stopped, thoughts filled only with her. "I like swimming, I guess. You're just by yourself, in the cold water. It's nice."

"My meaning was, why would you say your mother doesn't love you? Although, yes, we do have rivers, even in Dorne."

"Oh..." Suddenly he felt really embarrassed, having misunderstood her. "I... well she doesn't ever say it... and when she looks at me I don't see anything in her eyes."
He turned back to the pond. "I shouldn't have said anything! Let's throw rocks in the water!"

Doreah repressed the frown that began spreading across her face as she processed his words, but she still wrestled with the worry inside of her. She knew it. She could just tell that Lannister woman was a terror--it was plain in everything about her!
"Okay," she responded meekly, coming stand beside by the pond. She picked up a rock and flung into the water. The surface cracked under the blow and engulfed the stone immediately, carrying it to the bottom.
"I suppose I not actually very good at this--not enough places to practice." She selected another stone from the slick dirt to try her luck again.
"What about your father? He must be nice." She knew she was pushing further than she strictly should, but she couldn't help herself to at least try.
