Two great tables law covered with foods from every region of the Kingdom. Servants hurry in and out ready to refresh any thing that seems to be running low.

Lord Baratheon sits in a position of relative prominence at one of the tables, with a giggling serving girl balanced on one of his knees, making half-hearted protests as his left hand crept over her body. In his right hand, he held a massive chicken leg, with which he gesticulated wildly while in drunken conversation with those nearby.

Lady Eleanor sat across the room from her son, through her black veil, she stared sadly at him. Everything there reminded her of her late husband, but one thing most of all, Sammael. She felt tears filling her eyes and a knot in her throat... She wouldn't ruin this beautiful ceremony, not this one.

The massive Ser Wyllem Manderly strides cheerfully into the dining hall, exchanging a few japes and jibes with the lower-born attendants and those attendees not from an ancient and storied house with such a history as the families of the Lords Paramount. He laughs easily, good-naturedly slapping his sizable gut and bellowing; "Not if I can help it!" when a witty member of the revelling crowd saw fit to ask whether he'd be leaving any scraps of food for anyone else.
He takes a humble position as low as low can be on the nearest table and his seat creaks ominously. A grin of blissful contentment on his pudgy, round-faced features, he does his utmost to sample every single dish on offer, from as many of the kingdoms as he can manage. He's dressed in relatively simple though still impeccably tailored greys and browns, the silvered merman brooch on his breast the only real indication that he's here to represent his family at the royal wedding. Why the lords of White Harbour didn't see fit to come themselves is anyone's guess.

Ser Benfry Hill, First Steward of the Night's watch enters the feast flanked by Ser Petyr Lannister and Ser Hugh Hightower, both are also brothers of the night's watch. Followed by four other brothers they surround and occupy one of the tables.
Ser Benfry leans back and places his boots proudly on the table. Soon the black brothers are feasting and laughing.

Lady Eleanor raised her veil, trying her best to hide her reddened eyes and maintain her composure. "It's a pleasure... And to whom do I have the honor to be speaking to?" She said kindly, forcing a smile.

The widow gently nodded towards the Lady. "His wif..." She answered automatically, but she stopped before finishing the sentence. "Mother indeed..." Her voice trembling, that had been another reminder of her lost, this time she almost losing control. Each second that passed it seemed harder and harder.

Gerion tried not to look bored as his wife consoled the widow. Widows were even more useless than wives, he reflected. Good for nothing but moping. At least minstrels wrote bad poetry. So far as he could tell, widows did nothing apart from look miserable and in need of a good fuck.
His eye's brightened as he saw his cousin and the other Night's Watch in the corner. He pointedly lifted his wife's arm off his own. "I'll...er, go catch up with cousin Petyr" he said jovially. "I'm sure Lady Baratheon doesn't need me making her feel uncomfortable" noting to himself that it was actually the reverse. She was too old and ugly and he was too young and sober. Speaking of which, his eyes alighted on some mead barrels nearby and he helped himself before walking off to the rest of the men. "Hey, Cuz. Is it still cold up on the Wall?" he laughed at his own joke with an infectious grin, as if it was the most witty thing ever said.

"And I him," Lord Royce replies agreeably. He confers with his manservant in a foreign tongue, and the latter threads his way through the busy hall to retrieve Lady Royce.
Lady Kara Royce is a few years younger than her husband, a buxom young woman with thick black hair that falls halfway down her back. She wears the characteristic smile and flush to her cheeks of a woman who has had perhaps half a glass of wine more than is strictly ladylike.

Gerion looked back and sneered as he saw his wife's guest. He smoothed his face over into a friendly grin as they approached, however. Cripple or not, the Royces of the Vale were a touchy lot and he had little desire to begin their meeting without gauging the strength of his opponent.
"Ah, Winnie. I had wondered where you had wandered off too. And is this Lord Royce? Of course it must be" he stopped himself before he said anything inappropriate, exercising a rare level of tact. "How are you finding proceedings, Lord Royce? The King and his bride are a bit tardy. Perhaps they are being delayed, or maybe they have begun the bedding without us! Ha ha ha!" he chortled, unaware that his tact wasn't being universally applied.

"A pleasure, Lord Lannister," Bayard answers. "No doubt the royal couple merely wish to make a grand entrance. Are you acquainted with Prince Maerys?"
"Oh, hello!" Kara smiles, "I'm a Baratheon, originally." She takes another drink of her wine as if to underline the point. "Bayard and I really must travel more! It is too much fun meeting new people."

"I haven't for many years, Lord Royce. I'm sure the years have only strengthened him however", he replied politely
Gerion's eyes glittered as he saw Lady Royce approach. Now that was a woman, he thought. Not like his plain, dull and dutiful wife but lush and ripe. "You are a lucky man, my lord" he said with feeling "To have such a beautiful lady with which to share your life. Charmed to meet you, my dear" he said with a bow, totally ignoring his wife's inane babble.

"Truly we are both lucky men," Bayard replies with a smile. "Your wife is a charming woman, and was kind enough to introduce me to your heir as well."
Kara flushes a brighter shade of red. "Oh, you are too kind," she says, curtsying in return. "Will you be competing in the tourney, my lord?"

Annara Hightower smoothed her skirts and accepted a cup of wine from a servant. Glaring all around, she saw that a great many men and women had arrived for the feast. Some of the men were of high renown, but others she had not even heard of. She looked around to see if anyone she knew was present.

Gerion's chest puffed up proudly at mention of Aurane. "Yes, my son is a strong boy and just. He will be a formidable ruler in his time, I have no doubt. He has my fine example to follow after all" he said without any hint of sarcasm. He smiled at Lady Royce, able to forgive her presumptuous comments thanks to her ample charms. "The Joust, is not for me milady. A technical sport to be sure, but I prefer more...physical activities" he replied circumspectly.
As he was talking he saw out of the corner of his eye a tall elegant woman walk into the room and he was momentarily pole-axed. She was just a magnificent beauty, but something about the superior way she carried herself got his hackles up. The red hair seemed to sing like a battle's clarion call, over the silver satin dress she wore, almost looking like an armoured warrior queen. His nostrils flared as he caught sight of her and he just barely remembered to pay attention to Lord & Lady Royce, sneaking a glance to Lady Hightower every now and then.
