Finn blinked for a moment. "Yes... very good." He turned to Mariya, "Shall we go down and check out our rooms my dear?" he said.
He signed the ledger with a false name, and took Mariya's hand to go to the room.

"Ser... there is no down. Your room is up those stairs. You must have heard me wrong." The ancient crannogman said.

Finn blinked, again... "Yes... of course." He said, "Quickly dear," he told Mariya.
They moved to the room, as Finn shut the door, and barricaded it with a side table, as he began pacing...

From their window they could see the roof of the guildhouse. With an easy jump they could even clear the gap to land on the other building.

"Mariya.." he told her, "Can you go out and get us some rope, and some wood working tools, especially a drill, and one of those saws that you can cut circles with." He told her. "You'll want to get something dark to wear as well."

She was surprised by everything that had happened but she nodded.
"Of course. Am I likely to be followed, in our circumstances? Just in case I need to watch out while I'm gone."
OOC - just out of curiosity, did they have drills in medieval times?

"Assume you could be followed," Finn agreed.
OOC:Yes, they had drills. Obviously they were turned by hand and not really how we think of drills today.

"Of course. I'll knock three times when I come back, so you'll know it's me. Alright?" She suggested.

Finn nodded, "Very good. Hurry back."

She walked out of the establishment, walking as fast as she could without seeming to hurry. She kept glancing around to see if she was being watched.
OOC - guys, let me know if i need to make a new thread or continue in this one?

It does not take Mariya long to gather the supplies and return.
ooc-Just skipping it... nothing is going to happen when buying tools. Finn may want a moment alone I guess.

OOC: No I'm good.
Finn opened the door and greeted her as Mariya returned.
"My goal is to cross to the other roof, and attempt to make entry into the building," he said. "And see what we can see. The plan will than be to exit the way we came in, and cross back to the inn via the rope. Any questions so far?"

"None that can't wait," she said. "Let's just do it. Just tell me if there's anything else I need to know, alright?"

Finn nodded, still puzzled over the comment about the basement. "We will avoid being detected if at all possible. But if it comes to it, someone may have to die, preferably silently. Are you prepared for that?" he asked.

"Yes," she said emphatically.
After all, she'd already killed a lion.
"You going first?"
