Finn approached the doorway with Mariya not far behind.
"The Head..." Finn said, suddenly enlightened... "Of course."

"I don't understand," Mariya said. "What's this place got to do with anything? I can't imagine you want to go drinking."
She still hadn't a clue what they were doing there.

"You don't need to understand," Finn replied, "You need to be a good knight, and protect me in case things go bad" Finn said, "The less you know the better. C'mon." he said, moving towards the Jester's Cap, not waiting to see if Mariya followed.

The Jester's Cap was loud with laughter as they entered. He saw that all of the bar wenches wore caps of jesters, and had all of their visible skin powdered white, including their impressive cleavages. A man was sitting at a small table, and eight others leaned around laughing at everything he said.

Mariya put her hand on her sword hilt as she followed Finn. She averted her eyes from the women, uncomfortable with their presence.

Finn entered and took a seat near enough to the man holding court that he could hear what he was saying, but focusing his attention on the wenches.

The man was telling a funny story about a king who could not find his crown because he had sat on it. His timing, and performance were pitch perfect, and Finn started to smile with out being able to help it.

Finn beckoned a wench over.
"Hello darling," he told her, "Can I get two ales?"

"Only ale? Sure not going to impress your lady friend here?" She smiled.

Mariya merely smiled.
"Ale is fine."

Finn rolled his eyes, "I've heard that before from someone recently. I think you and I have mutual friends," he replied, "Fine. Two of whatever the house specialty is."

"Longmoss then." She smiled, "I am sure you will be rewarded by your beautiful lady this evening." She walked away to get their drinks, returning quickly.

Mariya looked around to see if there was any danger.

Finn nodded, "How long have you worked here, if you mind me asking?"
