Dany looked at his hand, then up at his face. "It was silly," she agreed with a smile that didn't reach her eyes at all, "we can forget all about it. Was there anything else?"

He took her other hand as well, "I guess I'm just acting stupid because I didn't like seeing you up there with Hightower. I know I said... it was the best play to make... and it is, tactically... but... I like it less and less."

"And why's that?" Dany asked, her eyes widening a little.

Finn scowled, "because I care about you Danyella. You're the only person here who I think understands anything about me. And it makes me so angry that some stupid Hightower who'd rather be married to his sword gets to have you, and I get to hang around King's Landing, doing Garnet's bidding. And it's got me so confused, because I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. I know the plan was to do what they want, to marry Michael, and lull them into confidence, to turn him against his family, all those things we talked about. It's still good plan.. but... I hate it..."

"You do?" Dany asked, a smile spreading on her face slowly. "That is really nice of you. I am glad we can relate. There is just this one problem with the plan though," she said with a sigh, her dark eyes never leaving him. "It requires a lot of waiting, but I am more fitted for actual deeds."

Finn sighed. Here he had poured out his heart, and still she was all business. "I am making progress on finding the assassins who tried to kill the King and Garnet. If I can track them back to their sender we may... find an ally..."
He had still not let go of her hands.

"What if there is no sender?" Dany asked, having thought about this endlessly. "They seemed rather incompetent." She pulled her hands away slowly only to replace one on his shoulder, and the other one on his cheek. "I.. would marry Tybalt if I could," she said completely honestly, thinking she owed him the truth at least. "But I'd hate if anything bad happened between us."

Finn's heart fell into his boots. He dropped her hands like they were poisonous snakes. "I... Yes. Of course you would. Its a sensible match. With Lannister gold and Highgarden's men you could... You could..." Finn's powers of analysis failed him, "yes of course."

Dany opened her mouth to say she didn't care about any of the Lannister gold, but saw his fluster and offered him a warm smile instead. "Plus, he isn't the sharpest so he would probably not mind an awful lot if I used any of it," she said in an attempt to back Finn's theory.
Sighing, she crossed her arms and looked down at her feet. "I thought.. I thought you liked Rowan."

Finn shook his head vehemently, "No. I mean she's a nice person, and well-meaning, but she and I have nothing in common. I have been helping her with her dream of starting some warrior sisterhood, in part from a hope she will take a vow of celibacy, and release me from Garnet's cruel joke." He scowled, and then stared at his feet.

She couldn't help but to burst into laughter at his choice of words. "Finn, that's mean," she said as a half-hearted scolding. "Even though her idea is rather.. far-fetched."
Dany smiled a little and reached for Finn's hand. "Come on, don't hate me."

"I don't hate you Danyella," Finn sighed deeply, fidgeting, "Very much the opposite, that's the problem. Hatred I'm comfortable with. I understand it. This... is not something I'm used to."

"Look.. we'll figure it out, alright?" she said with a hopeful smile, and took his hand again. "When did you.. uh, realise that?"

Finn shrugged, "I don't know, one of those times in my room, plotting," he said with a shrug, "That first night on the balcony? Who knows how these things work. Or don't work. What difference does it make when..." he trailed off.

"It doesn't," she said, shruggin as well. "And I don't.. know how I feel. I need some time to figure it out, alright?"
